Doubled save to Jovus (firstly sent it to Jackal), so, you're free to start.
Working on update.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

Requesting dorfing as reader please

Name: Aureliano
Job name: Capo
Profession: Brewer/farmer/broker or any combination thereof

Prior to coming to Steelhold, Aureliano was a capo of the local dwarf mafia family, responsible for distributing various drugs, forgotten beast dust, elven 'medicinal herbs' and the like. As such he is quite competent at dealing with (and avoiding the wrath of) mindless brutes and maniacs as well as the odd scheming mastermind. He is devoted to the good of his "family" who took him in from the streets. When the new queen ascended to the throne and started cracking down on crime, it wasn't long before the general's men started breathing down the group and he decided to take a blow for the team. He spread manipulated evidence which lead to his arrest, clearing the family of suspicion.

As my first language isn't english I would appreciate if mistakes in spelling and grammar could be pointed out so I can fix them.

Diary of The One Prophet of the True Gods, entry 1:
Today I set out with this misguided group of fools and miscreants to Steelhold.  Having talked to them, I have found a few who may yet be converted and see the truth that our society covers up.  Of course, they mustn't know what the dwarves call the true gods, not yet.  To do so would shake their faith and leave them afloat, for the false gods to once again take hold of.
On a similar note, the true gods sent me a vision last night.  It is this that compelled me to write in this journal, lest I forget.  They showed me a glorious future, dwarves living as their servants, as we are meant to be.  I presided over the dwarves, ensuring that everything was well for them under the will of the true gods.  This is the future they promised me.  This is the future I must grasp.  For they have reinstated me as their prophet, and I cannot fail.  Not this time.  This time, nobody can stop them.

Also, I'll take overseer spot 10, assuming that it isn't in ashes by then.  Which I fully expect it to be.  This is dwarf fortress, after all.

It's been the maximum response time of two days and Jovus hasn't posted since, so I'm afraid we'll have to skip him and pass the buck onto highmax28. I'll PM him Sarrak's save presently.

I should be able to get to it on Thursday at the absolute latest. Can I assume the save will be in your finishing post?

Did the above not count?

It's fine; posts are easy to miss, especially when they're one-liners. I stand by being able to start in on this tonight.
