Spacebase DF-9 (by DoubleFine)

http://www.spacebasedf9.com/

One of the little DoubleFine internal projects got expanded into a full on game in alpha. It's a sort of solo SS13 meets DF, although the original test project got a multiplayer mod so who knows what that will bring. It is very Space Colony-ish but with more freedom to build rooms and layouts.

Steam early access price is $25.

Does anyone have the DoubleFine Bundle from Humble and is there a Steam key for this?

Was just LOOKING for someone else that might have posted this and if not make one myself...
Damn you...

Still... NOTE: Do not attempt to build a Fusion Reactor. Currently is there as a placeholder and thus if attempted to be built will cause the game to crash...

Been playing it for the last hour or so, interesting...
Noticed that being attacked leads to a VERY ugly looking attachment becoming part of your base as the new "Ship" docks with your base. Taking the time to deconstruct it a member of my base was left in a room open to the elements. Seems that this effects little to be honest...\
Alpha is Alpha though...

Take some cool screenshots so I can stop using this placeholder from rockpapershotgun. 800x600 would be a good size to just throw on screen without breaking anyone's dial-up modems.

Saw this, was tempted to post it but I figured someone with a bigger hard-on for Space Sims would make a better OP.

Played about two hours of it. DEFINITE hardcore DF vibe going on here. It's in alpha for what it's worth, and loads of content is obviously missing, but it's solid. The gameplay is very reminiscent of that space outpost game that came out in 2003-2004 I believe? I can't remember the name of it and I can't be bothered to google it, but you guys know which one I mean.

I played Space Colony... My game glitched and it killed me for it. What happened is I couldn't have beds be sleepable anymore.

Hey, I knew that name was familiar. I remember buying this months ago.

Is the prototype going to be the same game or what?

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

They actually released an HD update for both Space Colony and Stronghold.

EDIT: Also, when an enemy ship pulls up to your station to invade, after you kill them is there any way to get their ship to disappear? I try to demolish it, but my builders end up standing inside when they destroy the walls and get sucked out into space.
