You CAN shield one unit with another. But, as it was said, you can shoot your own unit as well. So keep that in mind.

I'm not going to comment on how long it took me to realize that CCW: X and CW: X equals how quickly the fighter can rotate. Otherwise feel free to tell me about how silly a design it is.

I think it's pretty good, but honestly, we have nothing to measure it up against yet. So, try and see really.

Got my ships ready, how do I upload multiple designs?

Zip them all up with a .txt file stating how many of which ships you want. Then upload them.

The PBW site doesn't let you upload a .zip though.

I see a lot of you are making docking prongs for your fighters. If you have a drydock or spacedock on your carrier, you can dock fighters without using prongs, and you can even weld new parts onto them without explosive bolts by "connecting" the spacedock to the parts while the fighter is docked. You can also place parts in the dock first, then "stamp" a fighter over them; since the parts were in the carrier first, they will remain and replace the parts that are in the fighter. Useful for quickly replacing armor without a disassembler!  But be careful that you don't stamp out the wrong parts...

Spoiler: Crappy Carrier Design (click to show/hide)

My horrible carrier design. Should be pretty obvious what will be the main damage dealers in my fleet...

Anyways I'll probably upload my designs to the PBM thing soon.

Keep in mind the turns to Empty at Idle. One of your priorities when you get low on energy is to build a reactor or something; A ship with no power is a dead ship.

A flagship with no power or CnC, is a lost game.

I'm simply going to have to turn off construction/docking to get a positive power gain. I'll also turn off the shields too, if I think I have enough breathing room.

You could do that, yes, but fabs don't generate money when they are powered down.

You can assemble things in spacedocks the same as in drydocks, right?

Also, how will teams be assembled?  I suggest even vs. odd player numbers.

Yeah, same as in spacedock, or so I was come to understand.

And yeah, we can do even vs odd.

We all have our crosses to bear...

Also after some weird convoluted stuff, I've gotten my .emp file uploaded. I fully expect to die horribly in the first couple of turns. Yay~
