Wasteland-Hundred Year's Drought
« on: October 12, 2013, 07:29:17 pm »

((I call upon the power of my fluctuating writing skills, and hopeful ability to keep a somewhat good attention span to do THIS))
((No not This))
((THIS))

As in this. WASTELAND.

Wasteland. Your home, small village of Merchant's Cross, to be exact. The vast open sand desert of Wasteland, southern region of the continent of Amerup, separated by the majestic, yet foreboding, Black Mountains. It hasn't rained here in a hundred years, what water you do have comes from deep wells, desalinization, and some shipping from Woodlands to the north.

Sandstorms are frequent, and life is harsh. You've made a living though, as a miner. The pitch black rocks of the nearby mountains fetch a hefty price for their decorative appeal.

The year is 1445D

A blast of sand rises up your face as you go down your memorized track where you carve off boulders out of the mountain, and cart it back to the market.

((Also, I've cured my addiction to amnesia people.....don't ask))

Continue down the track!

Ponder what our name could possibly be.

Ponder what our name could possibly be.

You get to your mining area, just off the roadway, hidden and private, so that you can get most of the stone. Another gust of desert sand kicks up into your face as you recall your name. Daniel Lewis.

Oh good, we're not an amnesiac! Think of everything we have to our name, separated into several groups. What is on us, what's at home, and what's in the mine.

Put on face mask.

Scout the area to make sure nobody is squatting.

Get to work!

You don't have much but a bit of gold sheets from your last trip, a simple stone house, and a few essentials like food and clothing.
and picks, for mining

Guess we're running a pretty barebones prospector operation.

Are there literal tracks, or did you mean tracks as in pathways?

By that I mean it's just an area off into the desert by memory, no roads or tracks
