 For some reason my profile won't come up? As you can see it's just an X! The site said "I successfully made the the change," but no dice. I typed in the proper URL, but my pic is not showing?

It's simply not a URL at all! You need to upload the image to an image host.
I recommend img.ie or imgur.
Press the button and browse for an image to upload. After it's uploaded, it will give you a url. That's the link you put in for your profile picture.

Can't I use my own pics, for example: I want my Pic to be an Enclave Soldier, I'm new to this thread and forum stuff, so please bare with me here.

Yeah... you can use your own pics. Go to imgur and click the upload button. Then get the URL of the uploaded image and paste it onto the avatar field.

If this isn't working, please let us know which part you're having a problem with.

Alright, I uploaded the picture I wanted, but where is the URL? There are a bunch of links of stuff, which one do I copy?

Get the direct link of the small thumbnail. That's the most efficient.
