In the wine version at least, embark size and simple/more options don't seem to work.

4b, Masterwork

Kobold trap setter says it uses Researching which doesn't even show on DT. Shouldn't it use Trapping?

Figured out it's using mechanics, so at least it's working.

may i suggest that meteoric and rusty steel be changed so that they are made more different.

they are currently exactly alike other than flavor and sources by their raw stats

maybe making one of them stronger than the other but still weaker than steel by like maybe 10-15% compared to steel.

4b kobcamp:

First winter, just got 5 pages of announcements about thieves stealing things. I believe this is due to the kobold caravan leaving and the race being considered thieves. They don't seem to be actually taking anything from me, at least. It's just all the stuff I sold them or I didn't buy from them.

Also, it appears foxes and wild boar men (so far) are not flagged as enemies to kobold guard animals. They ignore them.

Did you change anything that might change the worldgen? Or do tileset bring a different world gen result? I was trying to recreate a world that I had in 4a in 4b by exporting world gen info, but can't seem to get the same world.

Worldgen settings should copy over fine. However if you are getting different worlds, make sure the seeds are not set to random but to the value you had in the world you want replicated.

Even with this, because of some inherent randomness there will still be only ~90% match. Some things will still be different. It's intriging as I've seen perfect volcano next to stream embarks have the volcano slightly drift away from the water.

Nope, no seeds are random. I get consistent worlds in 4a and consistent worlds in 4b, with the exact same world gen settings (copied the text and even went in DF through all of it to confirm they were identical), but the world I get in 4a and the one I get in 4b are wildly different from one another.

There are some oddities with Worldgen and differences in RAWs that create changes. I believe I read that even having a few added reactions can cause things to be a bit different. I'm unsure as to what changes effect what parts of the history/terrain though.

You guys are not checking the GUI actually do a extra overlay about the world generation?

Go to World Gen tab in the GUI and you all will see it going to change your world at the end.

Hey, guys! Anyone else has a problem with 'invisible' teleported dorfs? No? So this is how it goes:

Dwarfs I get through Town Portal cannot be chosen in the military screen (it just doesn't see them). I can still add them to the existing squad via TheRapist, but then they don't gather equipment. They can still do other tasks and join guilds, but they are useless as a military. Even when added to a squad, the quad menu still doesn't see them and only shows 'aryan, pure blood' dwarfs.

... which is a problem in my 12 years old fort in a evil biome. Almost all of my original dwarfs are dead and the only source of new ones is Town Portal. The military screen shows I have only three dwarfs left...

Well, it's on linux, not mac, and WINE runs very differently from native, but sure thing :).

Nope, it's actually just a program that simulates windows on a different OS :P.
