Realizing you're a bit overloaded, you decide to make some "equipment decisions".
First, the boot. Looks like a good boot. On the other hand, there is only one and it's too big for you. Struck by the sudden inspiration that this might be an Adventurer's Boot with a hollow space or something, you try to disassemble it. The heel feels pretty solid but when you peel up the well-worn inside sole you find that the heel is actually hollow. There's an engraved gold ring inside.
(Being overweight won't stop you from moving. It'll just make you slower, and athletic-type actions will be more difficult.)
You ask for a weapon to replace your stick, something with better reach than your dagger. Claire brings you a goblin spear, about 3' long and fairly flimsy. She shrugs. Oh well, better than nothing. You also drop off the boot.
Claire and Charlotte are almost finished packing. Pearl gets up and gathers her things. Seems like she was already almost packed.
Pearl comes up with her pack. She points out a hard leather pouch on her belt and says, "There's a red vial in there that's a healing potion, for emergencies. The drinker needs to use the whole thing." She separates her spellbook from the Goblin-Witch prosthetics and shows you her spells:
Pyrotechnics and
Whispered Message. The book was held open along her inner arm, with the binding inside her elbow, resting in her lap. "The costume," she says, "really only works when you're sitting in one place. Otherwise it looks kind of hokey."
Pearl also shows you, in her backpack, a wooden coffer containing the group's money: 75 ounces of gold and 100 ounces of silver. It's pretty heavy (The money counts as 2 items in total, plus the coffer is one item. But she's carrying it so you don't need to worry about it).
(An ounce of silver is worth 1/10th ounce of gold)
Claire has a hand axe, short bow, and quiver of arrows. Charlotte has a blackjack, a short sword, and several throwing knives. Pearl has a dagger.
Charlotte gives you a pouch to hang from your belt, for all your knickknacks.
Pearl asks, "Have you decided what you're interested in doing? We're up for any of the things I mentioned, unless you have any better ideas. You seemed to perk up when I mentioned the wizard." (There was 1 vote for going to see the wizard, which resets now that there's a new turn posted)
