Hmm, wondering why the first game I played didn't seem to count. Probably won't matter in the long run but I killed some uniques which should have scored something.

Could be that I started too early before it officially went live, but I'm pretty sure it was after the start time.

   Then welcome to the tournament! As it is we sorta have a Nobles team and if you want to be the captain then its all good.

Looking at the team criteria, it looks like I'd actually rank as Advanced. Never woulda guessed that, I always assumed I kinda sucked.

Yep, the Nobles team sounds great, and I'll take Captain as well. I'll update the file once I get home from work.

In other news, I was just being pissed at not having any fire resistance on my Gargoyle Gladiator, when I find a +14 Plate Armour [rF+]. 50 AC at Lair:8 - work for me!

So, if we want to discuss strategy (like Graven, discussing games is probably my favourite part of playing them!) should we do it in here, or have separate threads for each team? E.g. if one of us wants to post 'Right lads, I'm in X situation, it's looking pretty grim, got any advice?', or that kind of thing.

Only reason we even have seperate teams is because there's a hard cap of 6 players per team. It might also be a bit rude to have six threads in OG just for Dungeon Crawl. So what I'm saying is that we should all just yap about DCSS in here.

Unlucky with Ijyb - the wrong wand on a unique can mess up even the best start, I find.

While that's true, that one was still my fault. I had all my throwing nets with a couple of (un-ID'd) useful potions. Still getting the feel for TeGl. Throwing nets basically give you a free kill or two (early ogre/unique boosts your XP nicely), but low HP is something to get used to. It's almost like I'm playing a caster with 2-tile range single target spells.

   Bay12 Miners first team to break 1k score! I like how I can boost my teams score early on with getting high scores with combos that no one plays. Up to 38 right now.
   Also yes all talk about the tournament can go here or if your wanting to brag about a really good something or other you could go post in the main crawl thread. Especially before the 19th as it might draw more people in.

HEIE is really a ridiculously good build, this character is pretty promising and just got the Shoals rune (I think that gives me a banner).  It helped that I found a wand of cold really early.

The file's been updated. The Bay12 Nobles should show up sometime within 4 hours. I've also added "WillAlvein" as a team member.

(I actually updated the file at work. I was in that weird spot where it was too early to go home, but too late to start your hours-long projects... so I browsed forums >_>)
