I've cleared basically everything except Zot, Slime, The Crypt and extended. I have two paths I could take :
- Put on two rings of elemental resistance, and roll with rF++ rC++, 60 AC, take the manual of dodging I have stashed in V:5 and go for armour/evasion combo.
- Slap on a GDA, and go for pure armour/spellcasting/invocations run. This will let me go rF++, rC++ and ring of Wizardry, and I'll have like 2 AC more. However, this will also let me always have three pips in the necessary resistance for each hell, whereas I won't be able to with option 1. I won't have any dodging, though - however dodging is a -2 apt for Gargoyles anyway, after my manual runs out.
I'm more tempted to go with option 2, because it's more familiar to me - I already 15-runed a dude like this, and because I really value resistances on Gargoyles. On the other hand I don't have a lot of experience with dodging in extended and I'm not sure how it compares to an extra pip of resistances.
I still have Crypt and Slime to do, so that may get me some nice resistance rings, but I'm saving Crypt for a brief flirt with TSO to get a Holy Great Mace. I could jump into slime at anytime, though.
