Holy fuckballs.

Axe is awesome. That feeling you get when you press R and a slew of blood and guts fly out.

That's just... so awesome.

You don't find viscera and gore in MOBAs.

A fed Axe is quite a lot of fun to play for sure. I've seen a few Rubicks clean up fights with that spell as well.

Might as well play beastmaster if you want necrobook army, boars > wolves and inner beast is a pretty godly aura.

I always offlane when I play with my group. I've put in a fair amount of hours as Beast but I prefer safer heroes for the offlane like Clockwerk or Tide/Timber. I can stack ancients with Wild Axes but farming them is very slow especially when I could be ganking. The blink/Roar/necro combo is pretty good at terrorizing warding supports/ganking lanes but Clock can do that too with almost no gold. I generally get a nasty trilane of stunners who know how to control lane when I go off.

Well then I guess sticking to heroes you're more comfortable with is entirely fine.

Finally got placed, shit mmr.  Oh well, that's a blessing and a curse.  At least no one will flame me for not knowing how to stack or whatever.

Finally tired of hard supporting, going to switch to solo offlane.  The 3 times my team has actually given me it, things have gone swimmingly.  Usually someone who didn't call lane comes up with me and starts pushing creeps :(

Its funny, a lot of the people I'm meeting down here do have technical skills related to the game but every one of them you can see why they're stuck down here.  Its actually pretty varied.  Had a PA who was perfect at last hitting and understood how to stack and deny but spent the entire midgame getting ganked or blink striking into multiple enemies because the player had terrible judgement.  In general I would put them into three categories: bad communication, bad judgement, ignoring a basic aspect of the game.  But often a player who's awful in one area is pretty solid in others.  Time will tell if I'm actually at the right place...

When you say "Shit" MMR, what are you at? If it's anywhere less than 3.5K (I'm 2942 I think) I'll be willing to play with you. :)

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

I'm up at 2.9k solo (but it's sooo off as I've not played ranked solo in so long. picked it up again today, lost every game)
I'm way lower in party, where I play with my brother and dad a lot.

What's it like down there?
I'm willing to be people who don't seem to get how logic works only worse? I'm personally sick of those people that, well.. Here was our TA earlier:
'Alch is garbage.' Alch was their mid, who out midded him through skill or ganks, and got not only the rune but 13 min radiance.
They just don't seem to get that mmr levels, at least on USW/E I play, everyone's about the same. Calling someone garbage when they are at the same level as you.. They never get that. I guess it's jsut the same as there are two wards on map, they die, and yet 'we need wards' and 'well played'

Okay, here's an example from 1.7k, which is about the same.

I did that with very basic last hitting knowledge and slightly more map awareness than I usually have. At that skill level, those two combined with Bloodseeker at the time was basically a win button. That should give you an idea.

You... maxed thirst... first................?

----------------

In all seriousness, I could brag about how I roflstomp scrublets all day but I think that's kinda boring. What I can say is that when I used to play League. I'd watch pro players streaming and go "meh, I could do that" and the rare chance I got to fight one, yeah. I could. It's not a big difference in skill.

However, in Dota. Ho ho... I've fought people in 6k tier bracket. I've fought some pros like Bulba. Granted, they're NA pros but still. Now YASP.co tells me my MMR is probably 4167. I'm not amazing at this game by any means. When I fight people in high skill or god forbid, normal skill, it's a massive incredible cakewalk. However, when I fight people in the 6k tier... I get obliterated. I don't even know why. I literally watch them own me and I don't even know how.

The difference in skill is incredible. I've played with a guy who regularly plays with Merlini and his Pudge is obscene. Him playing with me is like me playing with a smurf. Complete and utter destruction. And apparently that's normal. I could never replicate it.

So what I'm basically saying is that it's probably fine to be where you are. There will always be people better than you anyway. At some point you'll reach a stage where you don't even know how to possibly get better.

It was 6.84, mind, thirst was dumb back then and scaled from any lost enemy health at all

Oh right. I remember that. Yeah, that makes sense.

In a bit of curious fate the last time I got dumped in normal skill I was Bloodcyka as well. I was playing as support though.

I've only played my ten placement matches, all in random draft, but... let me put it like this.  I've had someone at ~1700 mmr in an average 1200 mmr game.  That likely means that someone in the game was at half the mmr of the highest person.  Sometimes your Invoker mid gets 30 kills, sometimes a hard support Lion walks into lane and starts immediately auto-attacking the creeps.  Its a mixed bag to say the least.

(seriously tho how do you reach ranked without realizing auto-attacking creeps is a thing you shouldn't do?  He was cooperating and communicating so he was clearly trying to win...)

Maybe it's partly 'if I'm not hitting something I'm wasting time'
I need to get into that mindset mid game, or as carrys more. though it's less hit things, more farming
