Evil Genuises vs Vici Gaming livestreaming now.

Game one was pretty highly scoring (some 70+ deaths by the end of it in total), so it might be worth a re-watch later. Game two is about to start.

Yep CDEC got kind of out played and out drafted by EG. CDEC kept the same strategy they used all competition and it seems EG prepared for that. If you dont have time to watch all the games watch the 3/4 one it was quite good.

That was frigging amazing and I would have been glad no matter who won.

Anyway:

Sometimes you get those kinds of games... excep this time, I was on the stomping side. Witch Doctor didn't communicate, didn't seem able to understand a word of English, got flamed a bit by Bane, got level 6 and immediately started destroying. It was beautiful and Bane immediately started complimenting him in weird ways. I ended up just letting Bane and WD get their shit done and do nothing but heal and shield the whole time, it was beautiful.

Hnn... not quite enough. They should go 24v24, remove everything except the catapults

Or just take it straight to 30v30 and remove lane minions entirely. No creep, all elite, final destination.

Bonus points if they replace the jungle creep with random AI-controlled champs. Maybe leashed but upgunned bots for towers, too. Might as well go whole hog.

1. 24 is the max total number of players

2. "minions" and "creeps"

1. Fix it :V

2. I don't actually know or care what they call the critters. Alternation covers the bases.

Fiiiiix it :P

Though expect, not really. It's just a little disappointing, y'know? WC3 could handle 12 or so, iirc, and that was a long time ago... so they should fix this terrible scaling issue and surpass the works of yesteryear and whatnot. Then we can have our 100(0)v100(0) mob brawls.

So should everyone else. No more AoS-knockoffs that can't handle at least the population of a small town in one match.

It is slightly disappointing, since AFAIK there's no limit to the size of maps.

I'm not sure what you mean. There are certainly a lot of user made games on the Source 2 client. (Which can actually hold up to 256 players from what I've heard; Valve's game servers are probably the bottleneck in that regard.)

I was at TI, it was amazing pretty much throughout. I was happy to see Virtus Pro do so well, really happy that EG won, and filled with wonderful schadenfreude from all the Secret fans in the arena. Was also happy to see my favorite Chinese team (CDEC) make it to the finals. If Newbee weren't last year's champion, I would have expected CDEC to be invited instead. Anyone that didn't predict them to make top 8 didn't watch enough 3 AM Chinese dota!
