Glimmer cloak is really really really funny on crystal maiden.  People think they are going for an easy kill when actually I was just luring them in for freezing field ambushes.  They think that three of them means they will kill me fast but it actually just means I'll get a triple kill.

Some of the abilities on Aghs are awesome.


Lifestealer's reversed eating looks great for some fun.Stupid amounts of life steal at basic level as well. Missing top! Oh damn.....

KotL's cooldown lowering may have vast implications on some characters.

Morphling+Chen+Doombringer=Permanent  buffs and an army to go along with it. So many stupid things to do with morphling now. Io tele-link fun. Stun locks. Mega buff stacks. Just so cool now.

Enchantress being able to re-enchant stuff looks disturbingly good too. Never lose your nets or lightning or whirlwinds or buffs again. Unless you want to.

Heaps of damage/mana/cooldown buffs in the patch. Too many to list.....

Guardian Boots look nice. Can you activate them and a mek as well? Might go some way to alleviating all the extra damage floating around. Very expensive for support, but not terrible for others.

Increased heal/buff range up to 900 for all support items is handy for quality of life reasons. Support characters may have an easier time staying out of the way, because they're even squishier by comparison vs higher levels of damage.

16% miss chance on a Radiance at least gives it a reason to exist now. A little more versatile. Does it stack with uphill, spells and items?

Does Octarine Core fire spellvamp off Enchantress' Impetus? Handy anyway, but lifesteal pure damage might make it very buyable for her.


This may be the most mixed bag, nerfable patch yet! TI5 is going to be very different methinks as strategies get worked out.

I can't see Morphling's agh making it through to TI5. It will be glorious if it does, so I hope it does, but there's so much stuff to do with it.

None of the things are broken, by themselves, but there's 2x the things.

This is not an Alchemist patch, but a wave form in motion.

With Enchantress giggling because it's silly.

I think this patch is kinda like... older Dota style. You need to gank to win now. If you're passive you will basically lose to the more aggressive team.

Might be coincidence though, but I definitely feel that gankers and playmakers are way more important now. So even though KotL has been buffed a lot, he's actually worse now as every game has tonnes of Nightstalkers are Ursas and so on ready to eat KotL alive. Passive mid heroes seem to be worse too, as roaming gankers like QoP are now far more useful.

I kinda like it. This is the Dota I know. Gank a lot. Make plays. Laning phase is super important. Game is far more exciting.

Was totally wrong on Chen+Morphling (and doom iirc).

Some nice little Hybrid combos in a video here to see what does/doesn't stack/work. Video not by me (duh).

Twin Razor almost-insta-damage drain could be amusing.

I just played a game against Morphling + Techies. Having the two of them run up to my face, double self destruct, and then morphling was still alive in my face was the most degenerate shit I've seen in a long long time.

i just couldn't help it

courier was only bought at 10 minutes because I bought it myself and 0 wards were bought

VS thought it best to go shadow blade immediately, ignoring literally every other item they should be getting (e.g courier/wards)

it was just too much ok

What exactly did I do wrong?

If I were to guess, I didn't switch gears into a more early-game fight kinda thing. I went Bloodstone instead of Linken's because I thought it would be more useful due to how auto-attackish the team was. I was Medusa mostly because 10-hero challenge. Drow picked Drow after NS was picked, which was kinda dumb, and now I wonder how I could have mitigated the whole "picked a hero who literally does less damage when enemies are close against an enemy whose entire playstyle revolves around getting close" thing.

At least I farmed better than I ever have.
