For the fantasy league live draft, if one of us misses it, the draft system will automatically pick players for them.

So here I am, logging into the Bay12 Forums.  I'm not sure whether to feel happy about this, or sullenly admit the loss of what little remained of my soul after all of this Fun.  So much Fun.  So, so much Fun.  <shudders>
First things first.  You're all soulless husks of what might have once been decent human beings, drafted into a sort of moral apartheid from your better natures in the pursuit of things made out of cute animals.  I love it.

If anyone else is still interested in our small Bay12 fantasy league, we still have 2 slots available. Last call is this Saturday, 2:55pm MST as that's when the draft day is. PM me for details if you're interested.

To the others, may the best team win mwahahahahaha.

I think I can expand it but we already did our draft and the games are already underway. If anyone still wants in regardless of this handicap, then let me know.

Im willing to chip in if the expansion is behind a pay wall and some people are interested in joining.

No, it doesn't cost any money. If people want to join I can open it.

Just a short reminder that dota 2 is still alive (More news at 11)

And a video to make towers seem like a killing floor, more than a safety zone.

So in the early morning I went from being called a noob 10 times with Guardian of Light to nuking the entire opposing team twice with Venomancer and dominating a match where we were a player down from the start... I am a noob so I want to know how do you pick chars?  Are some unbalanced?  Is it a matter of picking the best char for your own play style or picking one that gels with the team, or something else?  Do you have a small number of fav chars, or just one you always go for?  I've just been randoming every match, but as I said my experience has been really up and down.

1. Team pick, definitely. You'll have to pick up on that over time. Randoming early on is good.
2. None of them are imbalanced enough for it to matter at your level of play. Pudge is pretty much never seen in competitive play (because he's pretty terrible in most roles in general), but that doesn't mean you won't see him literally every all pick game online.
3. Oh, people have favorites. My most played hero is Visage, but that was out of necessity (Compendium 10-hero challenge) and me sucking at him.

I could not live with having only one hero that I play as. Why, just today I played as a hero I'd only played once before and that was a year ago simply because I thought he would do much better with the team. We won.

Some people *can* play only one hero forever. But 99.99% of us don't. :P

I also only play random.

I do have a small but ever growing pool of favorite heroes, but I do love to shake things up and play other modes. I played a single draft game as visage and ended up really liking him.

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Thanks for the info!  This game looks like it can replace my 360-glory-days-multiplayer-FPS fix.  It has a great blend of co-op and PvP and a great build up each match.
