Why does Icefrog continue to hate Broodmother. Also that Ult Stick on Lion, and Sniper farming safely from the fountain. Not sure how I feel about Tinker's ult stick. It could either be really good or pointless because he has better items.

I'm just here to say that I have played the new OMG mode (abilities draft) and it is glorious.

Medusa with Spell Shield, Quill Spray, Bristleback, and Weave is too strong for mortal boundaries.

Yeah, it's really, really awesome.

I played a game with Firefly, Bristleback, and Chemical Rage.

I am not exaggerating here. I was 5-man ganked constantly, but I would take about 10 damage while killing two or three every time.

50% damage reduction + 100hp/s regen = immortal.

By the end of the game I was sitting in their fountain permanently. Not even like Abbadon's walk in and heal shenanigans. I was sitting IN their fountain and sleeping there.

If you guys are familiar with LoL, I was essentially playing Singed.

Also featuring prominently on the list of heros with kits that are bullshit wholesale on any other hero, Ursa on any ranged hero and to a lesser extent, Spruce Blingsteen on an Agility hero.

EDIT: And Grow. Grow is the most overpowered fucking skill in the game holy shit stick it on a range hero 1000000 damage so fast.

I just came out of an Ability Draft as Dragon Knight where I had Time Lock, Static Link, Enchant Totem... and Permanent Invisiblity.

Remember the previous patch where they changed Permanent Invisibilty so you could cast spells and use items from it without breaking invisibility?

I managed to two-shot most heroes whenever I could pull that off (and since they never considered to buy even the most basic detection until about 40 minutes into the game, I could pull it off pretty often), and once I got my Daedalus... I'm pretty sure I got a OHKO from full health at some point. We unfortunately won the match before I could get a Desolator and a Battle Fury.

From Sing's stream yesterday: Kunkka with Tidebringer, Juggernaut's crit, Frost Arrows, and Slark's ult. Frost Arrows allow melee heroes to attack instantly at 650 range and make it impossible to escape, and they still proc Tidebringer. Slark ult gives infinite sustain and guarantees any kill you want.

Merlini had something like that too, Kunkka with Tidebringer, Earthshaker's Totem Enchant, and two other abilities that I can't remember.  He ended up buying three Crystalis's so he could crit on every hit.  Was hilarious.

It really is a fantastic mode. Diretide, wraith night, all don't compare.

I got a Silencer with Death Prophet's silence and curse of the silent.

I could do 600 damage every 16 seconds.

But in that same mode we had a Warlock that had jinada, Tiny's grow, and howl. So he could do 1000 damage crits at level 11.

I have yet to try the new mode, but I'm happy to say phoenix is pretty damn fun to play. The W then Q+Shiva combo will make people like troll and sniper cry tears of blood while your team pounds them into the ground.
