AAAAAAH!!! I am super excited about the patch. Mostly because it looks like Dragon Knight is a bit more viable to play as, and he's one of my favorite heroes.

It certainly seems to me that the balance is changing towards "it doesn't matter if you throw the early game, as long as you dont throw 25+ min in"

Also, that cent aghs upgrade is gonna cheeze the late game so bad. Just run up the enemy base's cliff and team fight.

Considering they reduced the rubberband mechanics, no, they moved a bit away from that.

All of those hero re-balances look to me like they are meant to make the game end quicker than before..

Shorter games means the early game is more important.

Alch is ridic. Put him in a team with some mid hero with a super aghs upgrade, like qop, lina, tiny, etc, then give the alch every bounty rune possible, and he'll able to buy an aghs super fast and then just infuse the mid hero with his aghs skill, then go back to the farming craze. Imagine a tiny getting an aghs through the alch super early and making his farming much faster, while also not having to use a slot for the aghs, and keeping the alch as a backup late game mega carry if your huge tiny somehow doesnt blow everything up himself, specialy considering he can technically go 7 slotted since the aghs wont take up an actual item slot.

Alchemist does suffer from the issue of if you let him farm unattended as the enemy team, you're making a huge mistake. "Oh, he's not on the lane so I don't have to worry about him" is not a mindset to take against a hypercarry who can jungle.

He's an exceptionally weak hero if he doesn't get any farm.

This goes for any carry who's missing from the map, really. Can't see them? Find them, kill them.

That new core item is ridiculously broken powerful. Especially on Necro.

Played a few games with the new items in matchmaking. Initial thoughts:

1. Mango is amusing. I like it a lot.

2. Lotus Orb is amazing. I love it. It's like a cheap Linkens / BKB that can purge slows and silences while reflecting spells. It's so frigging good on guys like Ursa or Slark or whatever that attract a lot of stun attention.

3. Moon Shard's attack speed is crazy.

4. Silver Edge is great against guys like Bristleback and PA. Basically makes them useless for 5 seconds. However, it's really shitty if you rush it as you do no damage especially if you aren't a strength hero. For example, if you rush this on NP... be prepared to be almost useless in fights. In that case you're probably better off getting the Shadow Blade first and saving Silver Edge until you really need it. It's also useless if the enemy team has no passives. You'd think that'd be obvious, but this Slark didn't know.

5. Octarine Core. I think this thing's power comes from the CD reduction more than the spellvamp. The spellvamp is actually quite small and is kinda like... just there. It's not a major part of the item, if you know what I mean. Trying to heal on a creepwave when you're Zeus for example takes forever. However the CD reduction is crazy good. Zeus's arc lightning was basically on all the time. So expensive though...

can alch buff someone multiple times? can moonshard be used multiple times? Because I can see some hilarious late game situations where everybody spams right click and murders towers in seconds.

1. no 2. no

The update explicitly said that it can only be used once.

Still, alchemist on team means 8-slotted carries, which is... interesting.
