Oracle is hit and miss for me. i can't play him for shit, but some people are great. like, remember abadon? you either sucked, or kicked butt, for the first weeks while people learned the hero.
The event pay wall thing, on one hand, it is, and that is bad, but personally it's not stopped me from a free SS set.
This event is making wanna do all pick for once, as it's a neat little diversion to regular matches, while not being full blown ARDM or AD.

Seeing as how I'm really bad at keeping money when it comes to PA, I might have to go check out the new game-mode.

Played two bot matches yesterday and had Oracles picked both times.  One guy played him really well as a support, the other guy kept using his ult on himself and tried to be a carry.  Didn't really work out.

Last time I played, she wasn't too difficult to deal with, provided you had some spell gank.  She took forever to be a threat and she was a pretty weak hero in lane (though a competent trilane can make a lot of use of her slow).  Basically, gank her and laugh at her 25 minute bfury and 35 minute bkb.  Then get mkb and step on her face as you're killing throne.

Maybe she's been buffed, though.

MKB is good, Blademail is better. It doesn't work after she gets BKB, but you force her into either rushing BKB and having terrible farming items, or she kills herself repeatedly and never snowballs. MKB is a must-have lategame for some heroes against her, though. Or scythe, to remove her evasion. Or hex from Shadow Shaman or Lion. Or just nuke her down with magic damage, particularly Laguna Blade since it goes through BKB anyway.

I like this event actually, nobody I play with likes to play PA and PA is an absurdly easy hero to counter on the opposing team.

Good ways to shut her down is brewmaster, omniknight, phoenix, aghs doom, a lion ulti straight to the face, and things with huge magic damage and disables, like bane, at least up untill she gets a heart or something.

In other news, oracle is AMAZING if you play him right (which I have not). His potential is incredible specialy when you combo him with a vulnerable carry that would otherwise die in a second of being focused, like sniper. He also makes a decent carry himself, due to being rather fast, self supporting abilities, good nuke and an amazing attack animation and speed.

My stack's favorite strategy so far with Oracle is to pair him with Wraith King. WK is hard to bring down to begin with, but with 7 seconds of going ham with lifesteal, it's practically another life.

I'm going to open some treasures today hoping I get the new necro set. I dont care about any of the others, just the that necro set :v
