Ah yes! You are
Zandalos the Pretty, and despite your
freakishly long and suspiciously boneless-looking arms, you consider yourself
quite a handsome man.
Now then, onto the adventuring. According to this helpful sign to assist newcomers and especially budding adventurers:
-The town itself is NOT A VALID HUNTING ZONE. Those attacking people in town WILL BE STABBED.
-People OUTSIDE the town are STILL not valid hunting targets unless they're bandits. STABBED.
-There are three suggested zones for new adventurers. All are adjacent to each other and located east of town.
-The first and easiest is the middle one, known commonly as the Jelly Fields. They are inhabited by Puddings, harmless little goo-monsters that are easy to butcher with impunity.
-The second easiest is to the north of the middle one, usually called the Dark Wood. It's filled with living tree-things and occasional faeries. Not difficult in either case, though adventurers are advised to take care.
-The third easiest is south of the middle zone, and known locally as The Bog. It's just a swamp filled with crocodiles, shambling corpses, necromancers, ghosts, and other unsavory but relatively weak horrors. Caution is advised, even for those more accustomed to such things.
The sign also mentions that nobody is going to hand you "starter gear" and anybody found adventurer begging will lose protection of the guards for whatever those they are begging from choose to do to them. Those found stabbing people who were NOT capable individuals begging advanced weapons from them personally will still be STABBED.
