It's fine Proto, you're doing Bloodhalls as well so I wasn't too worried about this. I just assumed you were busy trying to deal with the blasted ravens.

Hmm, why do both the games I started on the forum have bird problems? Buzzards here and ravens in Bloodhalls.

About humans making steel:

How about modding pig iron so it would be suitable for making weapons? It will have almost the same weight but slightly worse characteristics the dwarven low-carbon steel. It can also be made that steel can't be made on purpose, but will randomly pop up instead of iron when smelting iron ores (the same way as tetrahidrite gives silver).

Right, it's been nearly three weeks with no updates, if people are still interested in this then we can roll on to smurfingtonthethird. If smurf isn't interested anymore then I'll throw it open to the first person to ask for a turn.
