Yeah the game is nice and easy to do stuff with when it comes to adding and altering save files and altering RAWs. You just need to get past the hurdle of 'AAAARRGGHH! So much stuff!'  :P

Okay, there is a slight problem. I put it in the data file, and it didn't show up under continue playing or start playing. I changed the name because my computer likes alphabetical order, so that it would be next to my other saves. Still nothing. I am using a Mac and the macnewbie launcher, does that have anything to do with it?

Wait, did you put it into

Dwarf Fortress/data/save

or just

 Dwarf Fortress/data?

Make sure the file in the save folder isn't compressed - I've run into that problem and smacked my forehead when I realized it wasn't "seeing" the file because it wasn't "unzipped".

I did that the first time I tried a succession fort. Told them to skip me cause I couldn't get the save right. Then my friend told me I'm an idiot and fixed the issue, hit me upside the head and explained what I did wrong.

Needless to say I've never forgotten since

Hmm, I remember decompressing it, but I'll check again.

Sometimes, decompressing it also adds an extra folder around the save-file, which will mess the game up too.

I still have my copy so I can grab a picture or two if you like.

That would be cool!  :D

edit: a series of ssense shots of fort progress in the OP would be sweet too, if it ends up changing the more masonry happens every year.

Still no response from Dwarvinator and his profile says he's not been on the forum for about a week, so I think we might as well skip over to Highmax in order to keep things from slowing down too much.

Delay my turn. I got two succession fortresses on the go right now

By delay do you mean give you a few days to clear up your turns on other forts or do you mean we should skip to the next person on the list?

I got necrothreat II and volcanic musical chairs (which I might be abandoning). Necrothreat is almost done, it's fall. Delay it for a couple days, if in two days, I haven't finished, skip me. I'm quick in DF, but not quick enough it seems...

It's not a problem, I'm just wanting to avoid a situation where we don't know who our current governor is.
