"Even some that aren't alien or warped can be our enemies. You can never be too careful, especially in areas where you're not supposed to be brandishing your weapons when you're not in combat or going to be. Now, we should probably wait for the others WITHOUT getting at each others throats... Especially if we're going to start working together. And I've never heard of that unit. I was a mercenary on feral worlds before I got the conscription notice. And I've had good knowledge on a good number of squads. Where've they been to before you showed up here?"

((Um. Alright. I'll probably get the whole thing started up, with a proper intro and all, on the weekend.

You are all on a small transport descending to the Hive City of Nyx, on the hive world of Padrius-4. You don't know that much about the planet in question, only that you're supposed to meet your contact in a hab block on the industrial level. You were all summoned by Inquisitorial Order, by Inquisitor Castus Regis of the Ordo Hereticus.

Feel free to introduce yourselves, etc. etc.))

So. How'd you lot get dragged here?
"Yeah, that's the word.
I'm starting my work as a servant of the Emperor, wherever he needs me."

Cromwell casually spits into his hand, and holds it out to the one in front of him.

"How 'bout you? What do you think we're here for? I haven't heard much about Castus Regis before now, so I'm clueless here.

I'm Cromwell, by the way."

Xanaros. These Imperials said some Chancellor guy required my services and abducted me. Now I'm here. No idea who this Castus guy is, but I got one thing to ask.

He suddenly thrusts his face directly into Cromwell's.

"...This is hardwood?"

Cromwell knocks on the side of the transport and listens.

"That's a very good question."

I don't know, really. The most advanced thing I'd seen in my life up until I got abducted was a vine pit trap. All of this shit seems borderline magic to me.

"Same here, I mean, my ma told me about some stuff, but I stuck to my dad mostly. He was a psyker, too, he said it's where I got it from."

Cromwell looks at the others in the ship.

"Well, how about the rest of you?"

Well, from what I hear, us psykers are rather looked down upon in proper society, so we'll have to look out for each other. Shake on it?

Hand is extended.

Cromwell extends his still spit-laded hand and shakes.

"Better allies than enemies."
