You really managed to make it look cool.
Good luck, I'm casting a huge mass myself right now.

Just tell me that the main entrance and/or depot will be between the feet...

I will run the experiment to completion anyway, however. Even if the only reason why there is a punctured equilibrium in the fortress is because I have been brutally butchering babies
EDIT: I just remembered that dwarves can't equip halberds. That might explain why the squads that use them always die.

That's the plan, there'll probably be a nice road to it as well.

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn no the axe looked better before. What I was imagining is something like this sword (only with an axe):
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A really visible tilt, down to the axeblade. Which, in block-pixels like you're stuck with here, is a recipe for cave-ins, sooo maybe not. It'd probably require a major adjustment to the formation of the axe, but it'd look so cool... (an axe-stand?)

You're right about the current tilt looking silly, so I straightened it back out and added an end cap so at least it connects to the throne.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm pretty sure it would look better offset and tilted by about 30 degrees, but I'm not up for the design challenge of that right now. Might do it later though, since this will probably be a final component.

PTW.

How long do you reckon this'll take, dwarf-time? And are you going to build your fort and make the monolith on top of it, or live away from it then seal that fort off after construction is done?
