Join team RED and be a winner! We could probably use a Medic, although it would be interesting to see what a Demoman or a Pyro could do.

Spawn on Red Team as a Pyro with Flamethrower, Flaregun and Ax

What range and spread does the flamethrower have?

It reaches 3 spaces. No weapon spreads except explosives. It DOES affect all enemies in a line though so that's pretty useful.

Also, do I just spawn or can I spawn and move?

Yes.

I believe that spawning takes your whole turn.

Check the OP; there's a convenient document with that kind of data in it.
