I suddenly don't want to move South.  I want to move as North as possible.  Anyone know how hard it is to live in the frozen wastes of Canada?
It's alright.

There was also a warning given about Ebola (given by the CDC or WHO I think) that there is about a month before Ebola gets out of control, or is considered out of control.

And yeah, they really botched it up over there in Texas.

Quote from: Article about Texan Ebola nonsense
it was concluded that he had a common virus and he was sent home with antibiotics.
They suck really bad at this.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

If the end of the world comes about as a result of Ebola, I will cry if the people who died from it don't get back up.
I agree. Something like ebola wiping out humankind might just be irritating enough for God to savescum.

If I knew who that was, I'd make Ebola cry for me.
Unfortunately I've no clue.

This guy.  You know, XKCD guy.

If anyone here lives in Texas, just... shoot yourself. Just do it. It'll save you the inevitable pain when they start to guillotine people without Ebola to stop it from spreading to uninfected people.

Ouch.

That's kind of counterproductive.

Kill yourself so you don't get killed when people start killing people who aren't infected to stop people from getting infected? Lolwut?

In any case, us New Yorkers are probably safe.

Until some idiot comes over here to tell us how he has Ebola.

This is a state that just went and gave someone from LIBERIA antibiotics after they had 'flu/bola-like symptoms and didn't clean up their infected vomit for a few days.

I'd not put it past them to kill the uninfected to save them from infection.
You realize just how large Texas is, right?  I mean it's like one dude in Paris goes to see a local physician who mistakes it for the flu or something.  Suddenly you want them to purge the entirety of France.

I'm pretty sure that the Doctor's first thought wasn't "Man, I wonder if this guy has gone to any third world countries recently."

I will admit that I have no idea what in the hell the quarantine team was doing, that was pants on head retarded.
