A great overview of the progressing collapse of the United States.
Wh... why is an article on church corruption from 2013 relevant to the ebola thread? Did I miss something?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My local hospital believes itself reasonably prepared for the possibility of ebola arriving. I hope they actually are.

News from NYC:
Can we panic yet?

Especially "The doctor exhibited symptoms of the Ebola virus for "a very brief period of time" and had direct contact with "very few people" in New York, de Blasio told reporters."

To boot, it was a doctor who came back from West Africa.

Seriously, it's like everybody coming from West Africa needs to immediately quarrantine themselves for 21 days. Especially those who worked with ebola patients.

That would make sense, but nearly all of us suffer from the delusion that it can never happen to us. Thus, we fuck up, and horrible things happen.

Interesting fact, North Korea just closed it's borders to defend against Ebola.

How many North Koreans have ANY sort of contact with anything in West Africa?

Literally zero. They are all busy praising dear leader and/or dying from malnutrition in a secret work camp. They ain't got no time for lollygagging in Ebola lands
