Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!

Then, dwarven space elevator!
Well, if we could flash freeze the column of lava as it shoots out, maybe. I'll begin drawing up plans for a planet mover for europa. Better fire up the infinite glass factories and make blocks and mechanisms on repeat; this could take a while.

Future generations will thank* us for our efforts!

http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/outbreaks/2014-west-africa/qa-mmwr-estimating-future-cases.html
CDC study predicts 1.4 million infected by January.
Quote
Cases in Liberia are currently doubling every 15-20 days, and those in Sierra Leone and Guinea are doubling every 30-40 days.
Quote
Halting the epidemic requires that approximately 70% of Ebola cases be cared for in Ebola Treatment Units or, if they are at capacity, at home or in a community setting in which there is a reduced risk of disease transmission and safe burials are provided.
Considering that they state there is currently an estimated 1.5 unreported cases for every 1 case, 70% seems to be a pretty high percentage.

Would North Africa and Arabia have the healthcare systems and well... culture to make a spread like that very unlikely?

I mean, so far the reason Ebola is bad seems 90% Africa and 10% Ebola :x

It's not so much a culture problem as the fact that every crackpot conspiracy theory that happens within the realm of humankind is actually something that the people in Africa have to deal with regularly.
