((Well, pump up your agi and str then, so you mangle things with standard attacks and save your MP for fights that really matter. Or put a few points into Int. Your choice.))

Monsters:
Giggling Toad 1

With a couple of cuts, vulpa sliced open the grimacing toad in front of her. It laughed forlornly as it thudded face-first into the mud. Meanwhile, Bekter did the same thing to the other - with two swipes of his claws, the Giggling Toad was no more. With that, the combat was over.

The party gains 30xp.

"Now the frogs had been croaked maybe the shapes watchin' had learned a little respect. The four adventurers felt the Memory shift in their mind, liek silent whispers in the dark. When the old man wandered down to pick a single Mirkblossom the monsters watching did nothing but giggle angrily. Now the party was free to loot the chest, If they so wanted. Elerous, looking round, saw a huge old stone gate blockin' the way. The stone wall had blocked their sight of it, but the thing looked pretty solid. A sigil, a curiously blue thing, adorned the old mossy rock like a tattoo on a titan."

With the monsters dead, there might be parts to harvest. Parts might be brewed, or something useful might be taken into town to be utilised in items, or maybe even eaten - though it must be recommended that you'd cook it first. The monsters watching you fro mthe swamps don't see meager to attack again after that little showing, but they might get their confidence back eventually.
