Make it easy on us all:

Go grab a paint program or photoshop or CAD even and do floor plans like I did ;D Makes Mr Fortress Master have an easier time

Its a program I have on my laptop that's used for school, but its great for drawing in a more precise way then paint. Its a very expensive program but you can get it for free if you're a student at the autodesk website. I recommend using paint zoomed in as much as you can and then using the biggest block brush you can use to layout the place by using that as squares. Photoshop can do the same if you have that, but I don't know to what extent (only a friend told me). Pretty much anything that can do pixel-art can do a floor plan for you.

Yes I suppose it's seperate? Yes? And the stair case to the upper rooms is in the upper right corner of the main area the stairway is a 4•4 and the one going down to the tunnel made by high max and the staff rooms is in the bottom left hand corner of the main room and the stairways to the chese and wine store room is in the workshop area

Don't connect it to the main tunnel is all I ask. Also I don't care if its ladders for either one of the places. but the tunnels to the two places should be 2 wide until the stairs where they will diverge into individual tunnels to either building.

Also to the south of the main room I want a room channels out and made a pond but it needs to only be filled about 2/7 it's a bath house not a drowning chamber!

Doesn't 2/7 start evaporating?

Though it was only 1/7 you may be right it may need to be 3/7 also how were you thinking of connecting the inn and the tunneled you were going to dig to the BB and inn?

As long as its under 4/7, that's drowning level.

And I have one main service area, where I'll pop out of if I need to. The actual "service tunnels" leading to the Inn and B&B are from a different area, and its designed my way because the haulers will come down, grab the goods since they're close to the doors from your places, and then run back up. I'm not sure how hauling systems work, but using them to haul ores to my stockpiles would be recommended. If I have to dig deeper for iron btw, somewhere in the main service tunnel, have a stair off to the side that digs down and searches. Until the miner arrives, I'll be busy digging about and searching, unless im lucky.

Here's a nifty idea: why not post a save of the Fortress to DFFD, which we will all then modify with our fortress plans, take some screenshots, and then PM the links to these screen shots plus number, arrows, etc, explaining different aspects to our patient Game Moderator, who will then endeavor to combine the various plans to hilarious effect?  Each PMed save will be the plans that the inhabitants want to implement.  Obviously, some discussion, shared screenshots and such can also be posted to the group or exchanged via PM's before submitting any new plans, but that's the basic idea.

For further changes,
Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Timeless Bob gets the medal for innovation.

I just used 7zip's default zipping method. I'm not well-acquainted with the software, so if there's a problem just let me know.

It's not encouraged to use viewing tools or extensive test digging to see where everything is underground. But if your dwarf has those mental powers, it's not in my place to stop them.

You can post in the thread or PM. Screenshots will probably be more easily informative, but you could give me the save and try to explain what's going on if that's your kind of thing?

Another useful part of doing the simulation of the implementation is that you know the minimum time your plans will take to be implemented.

I think mine is pretty clearly stated, so I won't grab the save. Unless it's still hard to make due, in which case, I'll do mine after their constructions are done and placed
