It's not THAT big of a spoiler. If they heard about it from Tumblr or similar site, then it's obvious. But spoilered anyway.

Homestruck is one of those things that not many people know about. Same with Worm, I guess, but that think about Homestruck sounds like it happens towards the end, whereas the pattern of "things always get worse, especially if they were about to get better" is pretty dang consistent from the first arc.
