Adventure as a sword
« on: September 25, 2013, 04:48:06 pm »

So I will be doing an adventure as an Adamantine long sword, but I have no idea what the goal should be. (I will be reincarnating with DFHack when I die and picking up the quest with that body)

I have DFhack, how do I be a sword?
You don't. I'm saying that I will be adventuring as a sword because when my character dies, I will use Dfusion's reincarnate command to take control of the person who killed me. Then I will pick up the sword and keep going.

Clearly you must seek out other adamantine swords and become *the only one*

Go forth and collect the pommels of other swords, for there can be only one.

I mean, it's not really that hard, is it? Anyone can wield a torch, it doesn't prove anything. Wearing flaming clothes on the other hand, or better yet, wearing nothing at all and being on fire... that is the essence of dwarfish behavior."

First, mod other civs to build towns.

Then, kill all the elves.

All of them.

could use "forceequip BP Mouth"(or what ever is the body part for the jaw is in your game) if you end up stuck in a body of an animal.

Out of interest, what DFHack command specifically are you using to reincarnate as the person who killed you?
I wanted to do this for ages but as I understood it, reincarnation/resurrection was impossible or bugged enough to not really be worth the effort, and DFhack didn't have a resurrect/reincarnate command, at least not for adv mode..

Oooooh, yeah I was as equally convinced you were actually going to be the sword as pretty much everyone else, the OP should be updated to be as specific as this quote.

Also, that's a totally badass idea.

What's the bare minimum of tags I'd have to use to make an actual sword a playable adventurer? Because that's what I want to do now.

Children you rescue shouldn't behave like rabid beasts.  I guess your regular companions shouldn't act like rabid beasts either.
I think that's a little more impossible than I'm likely to have time for.
