Also, what varieties do you like best? I favour a scotch-style ale.

By the way, I am so tired of all the IPAs clogging up the craft beer shelf at my local store. I've nothing against IPAs, I don't mind them, but I want to try something new, gorramit!

I voted for the European thing, but that's just because I love stouts. I don't really care where they come from.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I saw the title, and my first thought was "Why the heck would we talk beer when we can drink it?!"

Anyway. When I'm out I generally just buy whatever's cheapest, so... I guess I'll just tick the 'mass-produced' option. Not fussy.
Although now that you mention stout, Bauglir, that stuff is damn nice. Only had it once or twice, though.

I hate beer. It tastes so bad to me I honestly cannot see how people like it.

I can't even force myself to drink it.

It tastes so bad.

Eh... it's an acquired taste, like most alcohol.

Beer is awesome.

If you want a tasty drink that still gets you drunk, try cider.
I prefer beer- booze that actually tastes like booze without tasting completely horrible. :P

Well, there are some beers out there that do taste completely horrible. My dad was given a Yellow Snow Ale, and reported that it tasted like the name suggested, and said it was the only beer he ever failed to finish. Having never tried it myself, I can't give an opinion, but I trust my dad's opinion.

I mostly stick to lagers, heavier stuff just makes me feel overstuffed after two bottles.

I generally drink with meals and prefer a more bitter type of beer, i also have a preference for stronger more alcoholic brews.
My favorite however seems to be a certain low bitterness high alcohol (for a beer) >10% variant of which the name escapes me.
More of a sparkling malt wine than a beer really.

What if you prefer non-imported European beers?

I love beer. I drink beer regularly. Also, I'm from Czech Republic, so it's only natural.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a deeply-hidden clause in some law in Czech Republic that allows a person to be imprisoned for treason if they don't drink beer for a period of more than a year.
