You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

It is the point of the matter actually. I've been confused with Nenjin so often that it makes me quite sad.

@The 'rj' of your name combination seems particularly prone to that error.

I have noticed. I didn't know there even was a Nenjin until a few months ago.

Mastah, I doubt these creatures will appear until we've killed this thing, but it might be prudent all the same. I'll do it once I've been flung off or the creatures dead to make use of my higher senses. :)

A sudden jolt catches you off balance as you strike and you go tumbling off!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Yes, just a search for deinonychus vs tenontosaurus. I didn't carefully examine it for details.

2) At this point, wouldn't it be wiser to wait until it runs out of vigor?

Yes, and we could also sit around and debate the philosophical ramifications of a group of predators attacking a weaker adversary in hopes of reaching some sort of tithing system where the weaker animals will give away their dead/dying to the predators to end their suffering, keep the predators fed, and the non-dying herbivores keep not being dead.

hahaha...wait... that's an interesting idea thematically. I'm writing that down for future reference in RPG play. Although you're right in an overtly combat only game it would be a bit odd.

I'm 60-70% certain that raptors didn't hunt like that.

Considering the inherent problems with stating absolutely how raptors hunted I won't presume to tell you guys what to do. I will however point out that quite a few predators strike a serious wound then retreat until the prey is weakened by blood loss.

I made sure that the game play would support this, so it's there if you want it. On the individual scale you can spend turns resting out of reach, or if you all agree we can skip forward several minutes until the next interesting thing happens.

Turn soon.

Alright, let me rephrase that.
I'm 60-70% sure that current consensus indicates that raptors did not hunt like that.

continue attacking its leg.

It's thrashing too much and you can't do more damage.

(Attack 1+2 vs 6+1)

Get up, find an opportunity to strike one of the uninjured (or the least-injured) limbs!

You see an opportunity to strike it's left arm and do, so ripping the skin.

(Attack 4-0 vs 1+1, 4 damage)

Move to Body. Attack Body.

This is too easy, so I'm very much aware that once this thing's down, we'll probably have to defend it. A few of us should conserve vigor.

You clamber onto it's back and start scratching.

(Attack 4+1 vs 2+1, 4 damage)

Quote from: Teno
Be very unhappy. Try to stomp on guy who ate my face.

(Attack 10 vs 8+1, hit dmg 5)

Rip off some more skin, latch onto it's face.

It rushes toward you, striking a glancing blow. You respond by once again mauling it's face and latching onto it's nose with your jaws.

You realize that it's going to have a lot of trouble moving with it's head restrained.

(Attack 7+1 vs 4, hit dmg 8 HELD status effect applied)
(5 dmg taken)

Action: Imma get that tail! Wild Attack!

You destroy major musculature in it's tail. It bleats pitifully and staggers!

(Attack 9+5 vs 3+1, dmg 20, Wound inflicted)

Attack the body

You slam your kill-claw repeatedly into it's side opening gaping holes in it's torso.

(Attack 8+1 vs 1+1, dmg 14, Wound inflicted)

((Well, I guess that you only have to finish the head and that will be the last chance of escaping of that thing. Hell, you can inflict like 3 wounds in the next turn, and it will run out of vigor in like, 2 turns then.))

Ahhh fair enough. Though I guess my point is that you guys can fight however you want. I do my best to make any reasonable strategy viable in the system.

I made sure that the game play would support this, so it's there if you want it. On the individual scale you can spend turns resting out of reach, or if you all agree we can skip forward several minutes until the next interesting thing happens.

lol well quite possibly. That was a general statement though. "Something interesting" would just be the next real decision point. Certainly if there was an interruption, but also if it ran off or attacked, or just plain died as expected. It would be one turn until one of those happened, not like 20 where everyone just typed "I wait another 10 seconds" for the next real-time month.

((Well, I guess that you only have to finish the head and that will be the last chance of escaping of that thing. Hell, you can inflict like 3 wounds in the next turn, and it will run out of vigor in like, 2 turns then.))

Yes, they could also kill it outright if they mauled it's head deep into negative hp values.
