"I-its okay... I... I d-don't m-mind much..." Selina slowly continued eating, her emotions clear as day to Elena.

"I'm sorry, I know the cells suck.  I spent some time in them myself," Elena gives Selina the most open and honest look that she can, "but you are nearly as safe there as anywhere else in the city, and It'll only be for a little bit longer."

_{"...Thank you..."} Selina looks a little afraid though still, but less so than before. And then theres that one emotion cropping up again... She also hopes that the paperwork wasn't too hard.

Elena finishes her meal and waits for Selina.  Elena hadn't expected the girl to latch on to her so closely, but it could be just what they both needed.  Whatever the case, she didn't want to scare her away and would wait for her to make the first move.

Selina finishes her food slowly, but doesn't take too long. She waits patiently to go get the paper work for joining.

((Maintaining a facade of pleasantness is the way that, I've found, most people work IRL.  So I tend to play based on my own experiences. Being evil all the time tends to dilute the shock value. See Black Mage from 8 bit theater or that skeleton guy from looking for group))
