It's a good example of what happens when you let players take the game into their own hands.
It's also a good example of why magic and real world economics can not exist together.  Magic can make valuable commodities exceedingly commonplace.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It does make for an interesting campaign though.

I agree... magic has some of the same effects as I expect advances in technology to have economically. To suggest a cliche.

Good news, bad news.

Good news: Earlier today, I realized that Brockton Bay was in the Top 10 of total cape populations, meaning that Toronto would have about half as many capes as I was planning.

Bad news: As suggested by my not posting this until now, I'm not going to have much time to work on this during the week. Darn school, making me misestimate my free time by starting slowly...

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Sixth arc...that's when they deliberately annoy the Protectorate, right? Good times. Big revelations coming soon.

I've never understood the reasoning behind multi-reading.  Is one of them like a palate cleanser in between chapters of other books, like ginger for sushi, allowing for deeper understanding of other material, or is it just people being industrious?

For me, its a change of pace. If I read the same series for too long, I run out of steam and start to procrastinate. This way, I can stay interested for much longer.

It's like reading Homestuck, but longer. Far longer.

I see, different strokes I suppose.  I sat myself down and read up to arc 17 in something like 3 days, to say that my schoolwork suffered would be a gross misrepresentation of how poorly that week went for me.
