"Wow. I knew you were an artist, but that's really first-rate! Sorry to levy extra stress on you at this time, but would you be willing to make similar portraits for the other heroes who died in the attack?"

Selina's eyes go wide!

"R-r-really...? I er... um... I... I'd n-n-n-need a p-p-picture f-f-first but um... I... Sh-sh-sure um..." Selina is kinda surprised by this! She had been thinking about doing so when things were more settled but... wow... Someone really wanted her to make these? It was painted on her face, joyful shock.

"I think that some portraits would be an excellent addition to the monument...and even if not, HQ could use some pictures of the fallen."

He glances around. Phantasm and most of the Wards have gathered in here. Slither raises his voice.

"Since you're almost all here, I might as well bring this up. I have been informed that the official induction will be tomorrow, at one o'clock. All the various heroes who want to join the Toronto Wards or Protectorate will be joining then. Alright? Try to look good tomorrow. Shower and stuff."

Selina nods, then the announcement.

"Oh um... er..." Selina looked really nervous now... She would have to be there most likely, and she still hadn't figured her costume out fully... and she'd be in a crowd of people when Not!Selina hadn't done anything in awhile... was she just waiting for a chance to destroy this for her?

Worry, joy, fear.  Elena had already put her in the spotlight and the fact that she was holding up as well as she was, was excellent.  Selina's fears, especially if they were equivalent to Elena's, however, were viable.  If conflict was the end goal of not-Selina, then this could be a problem. 

Delphinium smiles, not exactly genuine, but faking a smile was easy.  Cessation of worry not so much.  She heads to follow Slither's orders and get a shower.

Selina carefully hands the drawing to Slither carefully before going off to have a shower as well, picking one that was somewhat away from everyone so she could have slightly more privacy. She needed to relax, and maybe the water would help. It also had taken every last bit of willpower she had to not freak out during the whole, 'being the enter of attention' thing.

Elena looks at her suit, it had been a little dirty when she had first met Selina and only gotten dirtier since Naga's attack, since most of the city was flooded out with dirty water everywhere.  It would need a good washing, followed by some touch ups and maybe another wash.  They would need to look their best to show the world that they were still in control of the city.

She laughs inwardly at the ridiculousness of it as she strips down to her civvies, they were lucky that there was any clean water at all, and they were worried about smelling nice and looking clean.  Everything that they did had a purpose though, and if this helped keep the city safe then she had no qualms about it.  Selina's picture was still being admired by those milling about as she walked by, so even that had its purpose, to remind people, just how much of a hero Argonaut had been. 

She spies Selina heading to a far bathroom, but as humorous as it would be to see the girls face when Elena "accidentally" walked in on her, she had probably had enough for one day.  Although... Elena did still owe Selina a look at her scars, most were heavily faded, but others were still quite nasty.  A great many were and had been deep enough to impair certain ranges of her movement, so that she had a difficult time meeting the PRT's physical fitness standards, though she suspected that her various run ins with Dr. Kataiser's regeneration formula had helped her on that front.  Some other time perhaps.

((I figure I should have done that last part about her scarring sooner, officially making it IC, but I hadn't actually given it much thought until you brought up her physical fitness during Naga))

Selina let the water flow over her,  wincing slightly at the still tender pink scar, yet another on her body. She began to cry a little now that she was alone. Painting the dead was only the start of her penance for what her body, her face, had been used to do. She could still remember the faces of every single person she had killed when Not!Selina took over...

She cut the water after a few minutes to calm down, dry off, and get her mind back to something less worrying for Elena.

Elena's shower passes without incident. She dries off and quickly heads back to her room in a towel. Anyone she passes quickly averts their eyes when she catches them looking.  It bothers her a little more than she knows it should. She was an oddity, they were all oddities really, her oddness was generally more visible though.  Elena shuts the door to her room and gets dressed.

Selina puts her old clothes on after before getting to her room quickly. She then puts on some cotton white clothing and her mask. She still didn't have a true costume yet, but she hoped it would pass for now as she put on the leg bracers she still had. They atleast helped her power not break her legs, though not very much. She sighed again and hoped she could keep her composure.

Selina hears something:
"Boo."

[RangerCado]

"AH!" Selina backwards and crashes into her bed! She curls up and covers her face, glancing between her fingers fearfully.

Blaster cackles.

"TH-th-th-that w-w-was mean..." Selina tries to calm down, looking quite hurt from that.

Elena uses her laptop to check previous induction ceremonies since hers had been a quiet affair.  Her staus as a probationary ward, and the fact that she was the only person joining, had caused the PRT to limit coverage. It had gotten a small article in the newspaper and a 15 second clip on the local news.  She wondered what bigger ones were like.
