Convinced that the forcefields would fail due to the manton effect after digging a short way into his body Steven redoubles his efforts to sink into the floor and begins reforming his body inside it.
It's not entering your body, it's fragmenting your body as you force it onto it. Basically, the force field is a bit of repulsive force along a plane; you are managing to apply more force to the bits of body than the strength of the things holding those bits of your body onto you can have.
What you're saying is the forcefield will stop existing because your body used to be there. "Used" being the key word here. It isn't there anymore.))
Another way to look at it.
((Depending on where your core is, you could simply veer a bit so that the forcefield doesn't destroy it.
What you're saying is the forcefield will stop existing because your body used to be there. "Used" being the key word here. It isn't there anymore.))
Im not sure if my character even has a core... ill have to get GWG to pm me about that.
Define "core," but I'm guessing the answer will be "Not as far as Steven knows. Not that he wants to test it."
He struck copper and is attempting to use nuclear warheads to mine it, to continue the 'dig yourself a hole' terminology.
Yup. More or less.
Your terminology gave me a bone and im running with it, although id say that im still within the realm of C-4 at the moment.
The nukes would come out when i crack the shits at GWG for constantly restraining my character and begin tearing holes in the buildings structural supports so that they cant lock me up anymore.
I don't think you'll have a chance to do that. Piasa should be able to restrain you for the next five or ten minutes, and after that...
(Bay12 really needs an evil grin smiley.)
"I'm...sorry about the unexpected trauma from one of our Wards' guests. Um, moving along. Now, we must move into the speculative. These new recruits are, with one exception, largely unknowns. We do not know their personalities, perhaps not their powers, sometimes not even the names they call each other. To start..."The picture on the screen changes to three. Two are of large figures, lumpy, like a cross between a clod of dirt and a humanoid form. They have no legs or heads, thick arms, and a large mound of dirt for a body. The third is a grainy picture of a person wearing brown and white.
"We are calling this one Grave. He is a terrakinetic, a Master and Shaker. These creations are strong and tough, but Grave can only maintain one or two at a time. He can also cause similarly-sized disturbances in the earth, creating pits or mounds. Fighting him in parks and other areas with large amounts of soil is dangerous, but doing so in city streets may be safer. This image is believed to be Grave; the figure was found in the background of one of the shots of the attack on the country club yesterday. It is believed that his main limitation on range is line of sight."He switches to the next image, a small child with long hair. She--for the child looks more like a girl than a boy, although it is hard to tell--is wearing a simple white mask and a white body suit with a large black shape from her shoulders, narrowing as it goes down to her stomach.
"This one was called Jaw by Skull, we heard that much. She was constantly in contact with Skull, making us think she has some sort of Trump or perhaps Striker power. Aside from this, we know little--even the she is not known for certain. Jaw's age is estimated at seven or eight. It is unknown how she came to be part of the Bones."The image changes yet again, to two of a teenaged boy surrounded by shards of force field. The one on the left is clear; he is wearing a red zippered sweatshirt over a yellow T-shirt and jeans; neither the clothes nor the boy had been washed in a while. The one on the right is blurrier, but he looks a bit cleaner from what you can tell. He has also replaced his T-shirt and jeans with a white bodysuit, although he still has a red zippered sweatshirt.
"Fang, the new recruit to the Bones who we have the most information on. He was an independent villain who joined the Bones for unknown reasons, probably between a couple weeks and a month ago. Those force fields his power generates are capable of penetrating flesh, but that is perhaps the least of your worries. When they stab or cut a parahuman, Fang gains an approximation of that parahuman's power or powers for a period of time. He is skilled in coming up with new strategies on the fly, with hit-and-run tactics, and with figuring out how to use your own tactics against you. Do not underestimate him. Recall that in May, he caused the death of Torchblast, an independent hero, despite Torchblast's greater range and the fact that Torchblast ambushed him in a sealed warehouse. Moreover, Fang could be hiding tricks up his sleeve. About six weeks ago, he startled the Protectorate when he used his shards at range, whereas he had only used them within a half-meter of himself before. For all we know, there could be another trick he is hiding up his sleeve, beware.
"Finally, we have two hypothetical villains with the Bones. First is one who can create projections; a PRT officer reported seeing a ghostly image of an eye looking over his shoulder, which winked out before he could react. Another reported seeing a ghostly hand pushing papers under a door, after hearing about the previous report; the same day this incident occurred, several records on local capes went missing. More about this cape is unknown, except that he or she began operations within the past few days at most. Second, it is believed that a second tinker is working with the Bones, due to the wider array and greater amount of Tinker gear being produced and used by the Bones."Argonaut pauses again, hoping no one else has a nervous breakdown.
