Reduce the price on rooms to more like $4-6 per night. Consider spending time to clean them if we're not too drained tonight.

screw the oven, what's the size of the property we're working with? is there a back area? are we in a village or city? I propose we get some wood and gather tables and chairs outside for an awesome fire pit, start weekly music events.

Check to see if you can offer to improve the adventurers longbow or arrows, studs in his leather armor etc.. It also might be good to give him something if he just tells people about us, get a decent reputation going. if he gives us bones from the animals, we can use them to make a broth, which should instantly make the soup way better. shoot, just have him give us the animals, he can keep heads for trophies. we'll be sure to reward him for his troubles.

We hope to be good work partners after this is through, we want each adventurer to know that we're not just serving some dude, but them, we care about whether he succeeds or not, and not just because we'll make money. Also, what's his name, tell him when he gets back he can have one on the house, a relationship building pint.

What time period (roughly) is this? I'm guessing we can't get industrial forges, but are there metal barrels or anything of that sort?

Is there any way we can get a map of the building/property we're working with?

Too cook things costs money to power the heating crystals in the obligatory oven you have. it costs .5$ to heat soup and 1$ to cook starting meat.
Deforestation will do the trick for now. Why people keep designing things that can only be used in one way?

To keep Cado sane and not having to design systems for every possible action we devise?

And in this case, we would need 1. an axe, 2. nearby trees, and 3. permission to cut them. We wouldn't want to get in trouble by illegally logging the King's forest or something.

Working with adventurers, keeping a good clean Inn, and not sending adventurers to their deaths will earn you a good reputation. Building a fire pit would take time and possibly money if you hire someone. We appear to have a quest for bones and a quest for wolf leather and meat... so I guess just wolf corpses all together then?

Most adventurers won't stick around too long, going in search of larger challenges in other parts of the world.

The setting is Medieval fantasy and I believe I can give you a map in a couple of updates.

Because I can't keep track of over four dozen things at a time, so the heat crystals is much easier. Plus, this is also based heavily on Cheesecakes Innkeeper game as well, which he updates on weekends.

Night 1 (Quests begin, and luck prevails.)

The hunter preps to leave into the night as you offer your quest. He agrees to return with 5 wolf corpses in exchange for free lodgings. You both agree to the deal, the hunter even adding he'd skin them for some more soup in the morning. He heads off into the night.

As the evening shift went, 4 more locals arrived to talk about their troubles. It was idle gossip that did not concern you or your siblings, and they downed 6 ales before leaving several hours later, leaving $13 as payment. No more patrons arrived and you closed up around 10pm. Working together, your siblings clean the bar to a pristine clean! tired, but in good spirits, they went to bed, feeling the day had gone rather well. You on the other hand, headed to the Inn shop, picking up a Shoddy Wooden Sword, and a pair of Traveling Boots.

You spent an hour working but sighed contently as you admired your work. The Shoddy Wooden Sword is now a plain Wooden Sword, less likely to break. The Boots also had been improved and is now Hardy Traveling Boots, they are much better at keeping you alive. (Hardy Traveling Boots are highest quality you can improve them to.) Exhausted, but satisfied, you head off to bed. Before going though, you decide to lower the prices of the rooms in the Inn, maybe that would convince people to come and use them.

((just realized I had been adding the merchants bonus when we're a blacksmith, fixing current cash amounts))

Ask siblings in the morning how things went, specifically the three who were unskilled.

Do we gain better carpentry skills for fixing wooden shit? because we should get those tables in order.

As well as have one or two siblings work on maintaining the bar tomorrow and have the rest get to work cleaning the rooms.

also, MORE BOOZE also, are we legally allowed to sell hard alcohol? I know it sounds silly, but you never know. If we can, lets get some.

Attempt to make a pork/carrot/potato soup. We should also get this cook a proper set of tools to experiment with.

on the subject of tools, we need to figure out how much it would cost to either purchase or buy a Forge/Anvil/Hammer(s).

Go purchase Ale
You get a shipment every morning.

You do not gain increased skill in carpentry, but its a very simple fix since you know about balance and even spacing and such.

Any kind of alcohol you can create or buy, you can, but Ale is the only thing available in the shipment.

You can experiment cooking once a day, and i'm guessing you want the pork and soup to be cooked?

I'd say get a hammer and some copper and build a still if we're gonna offer more than ale. Pretty easy to make whisky or vodka, and we'd have a house-special alcohol then too.
