I could give them an interactions that does this:
Whenever they flee (see an enemy) they go berserk and attack everything, even your dwarves. :P Or other Fbs nearby. ^^

That sounds funny and could lead to people putting them outside where they'd be likely to run into enemies. On the other hand, it feels like they'd be almost the same as regular untamed versions.

Mep, I really interested in have some awesome livestock that create ton load of meat with less animals, I guess megabeast could be the answer to my pleas. Like Elephants (not mega but nearly as one, never see one before or a sperm whale).

Anyways, I want toooons of meat :o

(From a very old vanilla fort.)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Brute: It does the body good. Lightly spiced with syrup.

What's humorous is this type had dangerous blood which causes blistering of the bone. So yeah... Clearing out that initial invasion gave me enough meat for this fort to last decades.

Probably the toxicity in the blood disappears with cooking or the syrup (?)

Yes, definitely so. It's just the idea of dwarves scarfing down this demon meat that would otherwise blister their bones; doesn't make much logical sense (but then what does in DF).

It'd be like suffering a deadly reaction for having swum in sulfuric acid, but if you breath the vaporized acid you suffer no ill effects.

It goes along nicely with the quantum stockpiles and infinite space cages. :D

Perfect mix in with dwarven civilization in general. Playing god and going too far in their quest for infinite wealth.

I wouldn't want the FBs to be friendly though, it should be a high risk alternative where you create something you know will be hostile to everything and releasing it on a siege or for some other evil purpose like masterwork fireproof silk socks for everyone.

Would love to play a world with no beasts of any kind and build a fort that specializes in releasing specimens of dwarven science into the world. When the fort inevitably falls you make an adventurer and try to kill them all.

Urist McFrankensteins army :)

If we're going not-totally-friendly FBs I'd rather do Meph's idea of having them go batshit cray-cray when threatened. At least then you can be more strategic about deploying them against enemies. Also, the friendly demon civmember sounds awesome and maybe could be added for the black wizardry school as a summoning thing. Or perhaps add a new thing to the embassy that will let you summon good-aligned titans to join.

Just kind of spouting off ideas. :D Truth be told I don't know if those last two are even possible.

Perhaps dwarves have simply not perfected the science of combining warpstone with genetically amorphous creatures.

Sure, they can create FBs... but nothing says the poor creatures wouldn't be stupid (initially tame) and insane (going all Rambo when threatened).

The all rambo might be a bit more difficult to do then I thought. for now its 20*5% chance for a random FB from 1 warpstone. So anything between 0 and 20 FBs are possible with one reaction, but it averages on 1.

I pity the poor dwarf running the reaction if 20 FBs suddenly appear on the workshop. D:

tame ones.

I gave all of them names from lovecrafts stories, hope thats ok. the names will stay the same, but the creature behind it will be different in every world. So if you get a Shub Niggurath it will be the same creature and you can get 100 of them in the same fort, but once you start a new world the next Shub Niggurath will be a different creature. Some might be super powerful, others super weak, who knows.

Ok, did the same thing for demons. It depends if you have procedually generated demons of course, otherwise it wont work. But the black altar can now summon a 20*5% chance of a demon, also either tame or civ-member, depending on their intelligence. They dont do labors, but I think they can become elected nobles, like mayors. They are named after demons from christian/jewish mythology.

that works, you can pasture them.

I just tested both reactions, omg, the scripts fires just like autosyndrome does. it just checks for the product, not for the product chance, so atm I have 20*100%... lol.
