Why do we want HE bullets? Are they really effective against well armored aircraft?

We need something with a bigger punch than a standard steel-core round.

Aslo, if we want extra engineers we do need to get in a fifth project. Any one is fine, so long as we aren't making redundant teams.

EDIT: Also, why do we need a bomber factory if we don't have any bombers as all?

Wouldn't a heavy duty AP round be more effective then HE? HE is better against unarmored.

WE can't get a better AP round though, that's the thing.

HE won't work on armor though, it has horrible penetration all it'd do is leave a few scorch marks.

Still dislike designing another CAS, IMO it as redundant as designing a new fighter

Except we need a new fighter unless we're going to fall behind, our enemy is certainly working on it's next model already to gain a better lead over us, we need to continue our own advances to keep pace with them.

Yes, we need a new fighter, few turns later :) Now we need (semi)strategic bomber,  tactical bomber, transport plane, long ranged twin engined fighter,  maybe experiment with jets or helicopters, but people want to use our avia team to make slightly better versions (that's if we are lucky) of things that we have already

Well, no good designs have been suggested for one at the moment UR.

EDIT: Well, you can make a proposal 2.1 for a heavy fighter if you're so inclined. And 2 is designed as a tac bomber initially so...

That would be because some of us would rather have what we need then what sounds good and what we need is a fighter that can last for more then 2-3 years before the enemy surpasses it entirely.

I think that while 8 was weird...., 8.1 is a good concept for what it needs to do

Yours is not a tactical bomber, it's CAS, very different role.

And I don't want long ranged fighters now... because they have nothing to escort and we can solve possible air superiority problems by modernizing sparrows\increasing numbers

Currently we have Sonar\Radar... Quite sure we need one of that. Why? We will be unable to produce them both due to supply problems... And I'd prefer radio navigation for bombers, very useful thing for night bombing, something that can win a war

Also we have HE and engine voted, thus taking two more teams. That will leave us with only one team for large projects, either ship or aircraft... BTW , Did I mention that we have too few small teams? We almost never design three large projects per turn....)

The only large team that was me was the aero team and that gets used every single turn.

We need to recruit another couple of small teams or cut a larger one in half. Maybe Alpha since it'll create 2 very skilled small teams.

We already have that Pat, stop trying to politize this :v

EDIT: Well UR, That's one role a CAS craft can do. Only difference is if it's used for actual CAS, or air interdiction. There really isn't much distinction between the two.

We don't need another CAS either, the sparrow is barely better then CAS itself and thats what the Osprey is already.

CAS are designed for accuracy and acting on low attitudes using not only bombs but also guns\rockets\torpedoes, bombers are designed for higher attitudes and use... well... bombs.
