Subtly examine what magazine it is. Also stow a croissant in my robes for when I'm in private and can lift the mask to eat.

Look for Ammonium Nitrate, Sulfuric acid, and Toluene. Alternatively, if this is more of an inorganic lab, ferric oxide and aluminum.

Explostulate surprise in weightlessness. Enjoy floating for a second, then find out why the heck there is 0G in this room.

Thermite just proves his point even more.

Pick up gun, then look around the room for anything of value. Hey, man's gotta eat.

Subtly examine what magazine it is. Also stow a croissant in my robes for when I'm in private and can lift the mask to eat.
[5][5]
You manage to find out that the magazine is "Piercings Weekly" All while not attracting any undue attention to yourself. As you are a tall faceless man in the most conspicuous outfit not designed by Lady Gaga, this is quite a feat.
After finding your first pursued task to be fruitless you sneak on over and grab a perfectly flaky croissant that still stays together enough not to get crumbs all up in your unmentionables.

Pick up gun, then look around the room for anything of value. Hey, man's gotta eat.
You quickly snatch up the gun, bracing yourself mentally for it to randomly go off, and when it shows no inclination to do so, you stow it in your jeans. Afterward you feel that the wad of money you found in your pocket is woefully insufficient for a man of your stature, whatever stature that may actually be, and decide to start looking for things to pawn off.
Aside from the .45 in your waistband, you find nothing of note in that regard.

Walk to door 1069
After your startling discovery of the wonderful properties of common kitchen supplies you decide to leave it on the table for any old sod to blow themselves up with, because that's what chemists do. Instead of proper clean up you decide to head on over to the room across the hall.
Stopping at the door you look to your peripherals and find that the hallway actually curves around room 1069 in a remarkably circular shape. Also the outer walls, except for those leading back into your room, are once more made of stone with multiple archer slits. Interesting.

Explostulate surprise in weightlessness. Enjoy floating for a second, then find out why the heck there is 0G in this room.
After determining that "explostulate" is an entirely real word, you decide to relax for a bit as your body drifts slowly through the air.
Suddenly fearing a return of your apparent narcolepsy you decide instead to focus your efforts on determining the source of the antigravity, and after a brief check, you notice a dial on the outer wall that seems to have something to do with it.
As you "airswim" your way toward this, you notice that right by the dial the outer wall is actually transparent, and looking through it you realize that wherever you are, it is hovering several meters off of the ground.

Check if I am actually dressed. If not, wonder where I could find some clothes. If so, check what sort of clothes I'm wearing.
If not completely naked after this check, go exploring out of the room.

((The temptation of a nudity roll is horrible, but I shall resist))
After looking downward you realize with a sigh of relief that you are indeed dressed, although the clothes are just as greasy as just about everything else in the room. You are wearing a rather indistinct....white? It looks as though it was white at one time but it is now a sort of splotched grey color of shirt, and over this you are wearing overalls. Once again, rather oil stained but at least its something.
After this brief check you trot on over to the door and open it, revealing it leads into a almost landing strip at the top of a group of stairs. Across from you is another door oh goodie and the whole stairwell is a wooden affair, though it is rather sparse in that it appears as if the construction project was abandoned after the basic wooden frame had been crafted.

Turn the dial experimentally to see what it does. Stare out of window to determine surroundings.

Use the stairs, find out where they go. The rooms probably hold only frustration.

Wonder why I seem to be dressed as a mechanic. Does anything come to mind?

Turn the dial experimentally to see what it does. Stare out of window to determine surroundings.
[1]
As you stare out the window attempting to discover more about your situation you idly fiddle with the gravity controls and while watching a particularly interesting piece of grass you suddenly fall to the floor and wonder why it feels like your skin is crushing your bones. Oh right, GRAVITY CONTROLS.

Use the stairs, find out where they go. The rooms probably hold only frustration.

Wonder why I seem to be dressed as a mechanic. Does anything come to mind?

You take the stairs downward and as the thought about your clothes crosses your mind it is immediately answered by the room ahead of you, which seems to be a garage of some sorts, replete with machines and mechanisms and a few cars on hydraulic jacks.

Try looking through slits
You poke your little nose into one of the slits in the wall and begin darting your eyes around. First, you discover it is early morning, due to the rather spectacular sunrise peeking over the land. You also imagine you have a better view of that sunrise because you notice how very very high up you are, being able to see the terrain for miles ahead. Most seems to be dedicated to a small town, and beyond that a series of hills and a forest. Looking at the peripherals of what is visible out of the slit window reveals that you are just around the tippiest top of a tower, which is itself rising out of what seems to be a gothic style castle. There are roads and a parking lot outside of the castle, so it seems to be a fairly public place. A brief glare hits your eyes as you look near the entrance.

Leave the hotel.
As you quickly stuff the fluffy perfection that is croissant into your robes you head out of the main lobby of the hotel, immediately out the door is a wraparound drive with valet parking, which seems to be almost unnecessary given that the parking lot is only around 5 meters past the door. Looking back reveals that the hotel you were in is actually a castle. A tower juts out from the top, it seems almost lopsided, as there is an extra bit attached to the very top, around the size and shape of a large room.

Leave the hotel room.
You waltz out of the room you are in, opening the door you kinda shot. This reveals a small landing with a series of stairs leading downward on your left, ahead of you is an open door, leading into a room similar to the one you just left, there is what appears to be a book lying sprawled on the floor inside the room.
