The idea of combing poetry creation with an adventure (not action) game do have merits. You explore the tower in the search for words, and find strange creatures that teaches you about rhythm, contrasts, pacing, etc, - and mini games, where you combine the found words into ‘poems’ to unlock new areas.
Hmm, the problem is probably that real poetry defies any mechanical system.
