This actually sounds kinda cool. You could have everyone start off in identical worlds that start to diverge because of the players actions.

I wish this existed too.

I can totally see a Doctor Who game like this. Like, somehow the Doctor accidentally prevented the dinosaurs from going extinct, and now you have to kill them all manually, otherwise the future will cease to exist.
