I wanna play but it looks super complicated ._. Any newb guides out there?

If you have a few hours and IM / E-Mail, I can give a fairly solid tutorial. I've been working on tutorials for the Tabletop club I'm starting at my college.

How much gold did we each get, again? I forgot to mark it down at the time.

Kinda annoying that they break when hitting their target though. Though the effect is nice.

Also still wondering what ranged weapon should I take when I get my first level of fighter. Composite longbow seems like the best, because the level 0 blast spells aren't cutting it.

Yeah, get that. Throwing weapons are for situational, secondary uses.

By the way, I think I've got my leveling guide sorted out. I'll take a second level of Fighter at 6th level, and end up with Cleric 18/Phalanx Fighter 2, with a +15 BAB. The question now is whether to take Mobility, Quick Draw, or Diverse Channeling at level 3, since I need Mobilility soon for my level 9 Combat Mobility.

Mobility master race. Quick draw... yeah, it's good flavor but maybe not so good technically. Diverse channelling will be useful, but not before you start reanimating undead.

You ARE making a melee/battlefield control/necromancer cleric, right ?

Also, we should see if we can get the GM to give us loot/experience from this.
Oh you naive fool! Read what I have said:
Duels to death! Winner keeps all the lewt!
Usually you kill the monster and take its stuff. That's the source of the loot. If you beat a party member, where do you think the loot will come from?
I will enjoy turning you into a rug for my boots, Rem, and then I will enjoy all that shiny gold of yours as my rightful loot... and then you can make a new character for me to butcher and loot again! Hah hah.

Any gains should be from each other. So we make bets as high as our guts and pockets can handle!
Experience definitely (LEVEL 3!), loot would be a bit unrealistic but hell, why not.
We could raise the level for this one-time event. 4 or 6 sounds like a nice, round number. Thoughts? Votes?

Well, I chose Murder, which is Death minus the reanimation, but yes, eventually. I feel quick draw would allow me to not waste turns switching weapons.

Up to level 6 ? Eh, why not, although it'll be a bit rushed to build our characters up to that. And then it will be a pain to downgrade to level 2 or 3.

Also, I'd prefer if we did not bet money on our fights. Although I guess I can afford to lose 50gp via betting.

Or win, for that matter.

I'd prefer to keep to level two. It's more in line with what we're doing now, and it's less of a hassle.

...Yeah.

Definitely a level up at the end of the session, though.
