Stop complaining about not destroying everyone easily enough, at least you managed to hit something.  :'(

fakeedit: Rider is considered to cover all the horses tiles, so I guess you could.
I have sounded no complaints but your jealousy amuses me!

Yes, I am well aware you all are jelly of me :3
If I ever die, my next character will be actually optimized for damage! +20 to damage at level 4!

It's a shame Rolep missed the session since there was literally no combat to speak of, only social. Lady-bard would have been in their element for once.
Well, half of it was social since the other half didn't happen at all.

By the way, I was wondering if some of you would be interested in Baldur's Gate 2 MP campaign?

I actually have BG2, but I was waiting on finishing the first game to play, so, maybe?

Oh, Cleave is standard action on d20pfsrd.com but full-round on another site that I found.

But then again i use d20pfsrd for everyting so I was wrong, my bad.
No problem. Still wondering if I can count the mount and rider as two separate and adjacent targets for sake of Cleave.

Well, they ARE separate (not the same being) and adjacent (next to each other), are they not ?

You do not really HAVE to finish the first one to enjoy the second. Second is much better, too.

You bet your +1 falchion I would.

Though not sure if the best Infinity Engine game is BG2, Torment or Icewind Dale.

Also, ToB I suppose.

Not like it's relevant, is it?

Also, ToB I suppose.
Yeah, by all means if we get that far.

So I found something interesting about styles of play in RPGs :

http://quizfarm.com/quizzes/Fashion/ellydragon/laws-game-style/

Here's what I scored:

You Scored as Butt-Kicker
You like a streightforward combat character. After a long day at the office, you want to clobber foes and once more prove your superiority over all who would challenge you.

Butt-Kicker   100%
Tactician 100%
Power Gamer 92%
Storyteller 92%
Specialist 83%
Method Actor 67%
Casual Gamer 33%

Which does not surprise me in the slightest. Tactics and a good storytelling may be essential, but at the end of the day the most important thing is BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD ! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE ! Raaargh !

Maybe I should change my planned five levels of Fighter and my level of Monk with some Brutal Pugilist ? nah it doesn't give me good stuff

You Scored as Tactician

You're probably a military buff who wants to have the chance to think through complex problems. You want the rules, and your GM's interpretation of them, to match up what happens in the real world or at least be consistant. You want challenging yet logical obstacles to overcome.

Butt-Kicker
   83%
Tactician

Storyteller
   75%
Specialist
   67%
Method Actor

I think the "casual gamer" part refers to specific questions that I interpreted as being more about how easygoing vs. how controlling you are at the table. Are you willing to compromise to keep the game moving? I answered HELL YEAH and I suspect that gave me a bunch of casual points. Similarly, I think the powergamer questions were really just a power gamer vs. casual axis.

Which category does "I want to be rewarded after a good game session" fit into?

How does it differentiate between Storyteller and Method Actor, especially since this is entirely from a player perspective?

WTF Specialist?

Finally, the Tactician description sounds like about 50% of the arguments I remember in D&D. Half of the arguments are "that wouldn't happen in real life because XYZ" and the other half are "we should totally interpret this rule as XYZ." There's always somebody who wants to bring a physics equation into the issue of how far forward the cattle moves after the dragon drops it while flying over. Or how infravision should totally work. Basically the Tactician flavor text doesn't mean Tactician at all. Here's what I'd write for Tactician:

You approach everything thinking about the best way it can be done. You try to think about all the angles, all the contingencies. You like to pick your battles. You like the rules to be clear and consistent. Ask about ambiguities if they're relevant. All of the important work happens early; the battle is won or lost before the first sword is drawn.

Weird quiz.

Agreed. It sounds closer to "Rules Lawyer" than "Tactician"  :-\

Yes, yes, I know, casual gamer isn't the manliest category.

You will choke on these words regardless, Barbarian.

Bullshit. I've been playing/reading the rulebooks for these games since I was five. My parents met through RPGs. Casual? Only so I can enjoy the game.

I think Specialist is someone who plays one role and likes to do one or two things within a game and that's it.

It's interesting how some of us got a total of like 500% and some of us got maybe 200%...

I think it's because I never really answered Hell Yeah to any questions. Not So Much... to a couple, but I tended to be middling.

This... Sounds like me.

I remember trying to play World of Darkness with some RP heavy, story obsessed people, and I just asked "So are we going to be killing some people or what?"
