Today, we learned that Kangur becomes way less effective without his tower shield.

And also happens to be slightly less effective for survival purposes when Enlarged.

Indeed. I think I'll start casting Anti-magic enchantments of some sort on my equipment.

Anti-magic enchantments will result in non enchant-able equipment.

However, it reminds me of the prestige class I still want to make. Anti-magic/magic-ignoring based. Capstone ability is an at-will on/off permanent anti-magic aura that doesn't affect his equipment/doesn't affect some of his equipment. Good luck with that, ANYONE EVER. At high levels, everyone relies on magic to an extent. Except monsters.

Probably have a few variations. A paladin-styled one, a rogue-styled one, a monster-styled one, and a mage-styled one.

Is there a R20 invite link on this forum or some such?
Or may I ask for it to be PM'd my way?

At the very least I can spectate until a spot opens up.

Edit: I seem to have missed the latest game. That sucks.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Good fun, it was! Despite some confusion over the rules...
I will challenge Dre'Xav. I must teach him the folly of the Space Marine approach.

Not necessarily. Zone of antimagic, yes, magic resist, no.

Also you want to create prestige classes ? Then time to make a muscle wizzard PrC as well !

Also, Rem you should invest into a mithral tower shield, and a locked gauntlet for your shield. Also a belt of +con.

...Level 3 yet ?

a locked gauntlet for the shield would be awesome, considering how squishy you are.

Yeah, by all means. I mean the book only says you can use it for weapons, but don't see why it can't be used for shields.

Tower shield is a wooden shield, so mithral is not applicable. Darkwood is, but in the chargen it doesn't give anything worthwhile (cutting the weight in half and lowering armor check by 2).

I was wondering, but why Matrim, as an archer, doesn't have long-range bow like Astalinn? Matrim was faring pretty well otherwise.

It's not cheating; I warned everyone previously that I was new to the quirks of Pathfinder >:(.

And why not? It's actually one of this type of shield, with Tower Shield stats:

I see no problem with making that tower shield out of mithral, even if tower shields in pathfinder are wooden.

Unless Kangur's shield was made out of wood, which means mithral would be even heavier and therefore pointless.

But IIRC my Greek myth and my Illiad, it was some mishmash of wood, leather and bronze.

Yeah, but still wasn't purely wood :P.

I will be getting that locked guantlet, though. Definitely. And carving the words 'Death to Arcane Casters' into it.
