Too late..... OK....
Alpha:
A) Train Armor\heavy alloys  specialist

Beta
B) Reorganize teams
Alpha team: 1 master, 3 veterans 3 regular, 3 novices, Naval specialist, manufacturing specialist, Heavy alloys specialist
Beta team: 1 master, 3 veterans, 3 regulars, 3 novices, Avia specialists*2
Gamma team: 1 master, 2 veterans, 2 regulars,
Delta team:  2 veterans, 2 regulars, 1 novice, gunnery specialist
Zeta team: 1 veteran, 2 regulars, 2 novices,
Eta team: 1 veteran, 2 regulars, 2 novices

Gamma Set a rule that Alpha works on the most voted vessel or land vehicle proposal even if it has only one vote

Delta Set a rule that Beta works on the most voted aircraft even if it got only one vote.

Seriously, small projects will almost always get more votes, they are simply less controversial and tend to not produce a lot of alternatives, while for ships\aircrafts\tanks there are always fierce competition

I'm pretty sure that proposal would do better if split into 4 different parts.

1) Design a Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) using the current rifle bullet. Prioritise accuracy, range, light weight and mag capacity. Ideally we want one with a drum magazine.

I vote for Alpha, Beta, Gamma Delta

Voting for Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta
Voting for Extra range and Full Rotation for the SONAR system
Voting Aerial Navigation Utility and High tech aiming system for the radio navigation system

Proposal 2: Light Tank (Large) A larger design than what tankettes have been encountered. A turreted design that uses a 40mm cannon, a hull mounted 8*54mm MG, and a ring-mounted 15mm gun ontop of the commander's cupola. Armour is to be atleast 20-30 mm thick before angling on a 30 degree angle from upright on the front, 20-15mm on the side, and 15-10mm on the top, bottom and rear. The turret is to be armoured at 40mm on the gun mound, and 30mm elsewhere. It is to be propelled via diesel are for two reasons: Fuel efficiency, and to keep it from using standard petrol in order to reserve that for the civilian population.

Proposal 3: Munition refinement (Small) In light of the flaws in the new ammo types, set a team to work on it until the flaws are all ironed out and the ammo is fit for active service.

Proposal 4: Heavy Cruiser (Large) In order to keep up against the enemy's fleet, a new cruiser far larger than what the Moldavians are currently fielding.

"Great White" class heavy cruiser:
10,000 tons displacement (Approx.)
Six 300mm guns, placed in three turrets. Two placed at the front, one at the rear (Totalling 1950 tons @ 650 a turret)
2,800 tons for Steam Turbines
40 tons for SONAR system
2,300 tons cruiser parts
2,500 tons armour
40 40mm Auto-cannons mounted in two-gun turrets (150 tons @ 7.5 tons a turret)
14 80mm Cannons, placed in two-gun mounts along the broadside, and one on the rear, (260 tons approx. @ 37 tons a turret)

Proposal A: More fighter factories In light of the recent intelligence on the Moldavian air force suggests that we need another factory to keep up the pace in the air war

((Khan, we already have that.))

((Although an LMG can sometimes be also called a SAW (like the FN Minimi, PKP Pecheneg and the M60), an LMG does not equal a SAW.

I'm thinking something more along the lines of a box/magazine fed heavy assault rifle that can be serviced by one man and is light enough to be used standing, kneeing, prone and everything in between without significantly compromising accuracy.))

((As I said, we already have one. We aren't MAKING it, but we have it designed. Just look for the old 8x20mm gun, and replace it with the 8x54mm round (Since that's what it actually uses). Either way, go post any more OOC things in the discussion thread, that was we don't clog this thread up.))

6  Annihilator class  Battlecruiser:(large)

10,000 tons displacement

Either Four 300mm guns, placed in a two forward twin turrets, one above another or three 300mm guns in single forward turret
Six to twelve 160mm unarmored\lightly armored guns on right side of the ship. Possibly using twin mounts
Four to eight unarmored\lightly armored 160mm guns on the left side of the ship. Possibly using twin mounts
(magazines for this guns still below armored deck for safety, of cause)
Six-ten quad 30mm guns
20-30 twin LMG
SONAR
RADAR
All of above to be fitted in 2000 tons, with all light guns either having light armor or none.
Steam engine 1000t (Cruising engine)
Diesel engines (if needed) + armor 4500 ton  (Target max speed of the ship is 38km\h. Armor ratio: 40% all or nothing, 35% anti-torpedo armor, 25% armored belt)
2500 tons cruiser parts

Asymmetric battleship design, with right side being more armed more than left side, to balance the ship fuel tanks, Radar and main turret ammunition is moved to the left side, while most of propulsion machinery is located on the back of ship to counterbalance heavy turret

Intended use of the ship is either moving directly to opposition and shelling it with main turret, then turning it's right side to enemy and bringing secondary guns to combat or turning it's right side to the enemy and shell it as long as it approaches.
While this create some problems when enemy comes from another side, left side isn't completely gunless either. It has no back guns and that's used as a propaganda, Annihilator never retreats, so it doesn't need guns. For the same reason this ship was never designed to be fast, preferring armor capable to withstand heavy punching.

It has modest AA protection as it is expected that Protectors and Hunters will cover the ship from enemy aircrafts

7.Hunter upgrade (medium)
a) Fit sonar in place for mines
b) Try to improve reliability of engines b locating and fixing largest flaws
c) Listen for crew complaints to make ship more comfortable\crew more defended

8 (small?)
Design effective flak shells for 80mm and 160mm guns (Or only 160mm guns if ammunition of two guns is too much to ask)

Epsilon : Study the past raids on our supply lines, look for patterns and the areas where raids are carried out most frequently.

Once done begin sending half our Osprey force covered by half our Sparrow force out using those patterns and frequently hit areas to narrow the area the enemy raiders are operating in, use supply convoys as bait to lure out the raiders remaining at a distance and above cloud level until the convoy signals it's under attack.

Ambush the enemy raiders with Sparrows providing top cover incase the enemy has air support, focus torpedos on the raiders first then use remaining munition on escorts.

Be sure to announce to our own people, especially the navy and the crews of supply ships that the enemy is paying dearly in there own blood to attack us and to those we trade with so they know we're working to ensure the safety of there sailors.

Military update has been added.

As a note, they're not attacking outside of our range, but outside of the usual patrol range.

Told you we need a new fighter, the enemy fighter is now even better then our own thanks to the tail gun and they've ramped production way up. At best our production and there production puts us on even terms but more likely the enemy has the advantage now.

Long range bombing is no longer an option because we don't know the enemies max altitude and we have no hope of defending our bombers properly because to do so would require the use of our entire air force and would still probably not be enough.

Darn you Ebbor ;) make them retreat right when I suggest a counter offensive.

Quite a few of their actions, both now and in the future are already planned. Interesting things coming up soon.

10. Three engined bomber "Albatros",
using upgraded version of the engine. One engine to be places in nose, and two engines on bases of the wings
Carrying no defensive weapons goal of the design team to create an aircraft that is able fly higher than enemy (and our) fighters can achieve, even when caring bombs. Also it should be able to maintain respectable speed
Bombing load is not the top priority here, we want to bring few bombs reliable, not have a lot of them explode together with bomber
Aircraft to be designed with the mind that nose engine may be replaced with larger, two turrets, top and bottom can be installed without much problems, finally make it possible that two forward facing 15mm guns may be placed into wings. But first production version is unarmed and as light and streamlined as possible

11. Punisher class (large)
3200t
1000t steam propulsion
200t auxiliary diesel propulsion
750t cruiser parts
250t single 300mm turet
50t ten 40mm guns
500 tons: "all or nothing" armor
200 tons: Anti torpedo armor
26 tons: Light cheep MGs
24 six 30mm automatic guns
Radar
Sonar
Depth charges

Improved protector class: changes to be made
a) replacement of two forward 160mm guns with a single 300mm gun. Making ship longer and slightly wider in process (thus it's not refit of protector)
b) Removing aft turret and replacing it with auxiliary diesel engine
c) General improvement of 1000ton steam  engine using all experience gathered for years of it's usage on protectors
d) Many machineguns to be replaced with 30mm guns, that while innacurate can create a wall of fire and light accurate machineguns that take less space, easier to aim and more accurate
e) Armor to be increased
f) Sonar and radar

A.1 Increase production of all our aircraft, Bombers (should we design them), Ospreys, Sparrows but focus on Sparrows.
B Expand capital ships shipyard to 3200t
C build radio navigation towers, if we design a bomber
D Build radars to cover most important facilities
E If possible, try to create local electonics production, if needed with Commintern help

Zeta should we design and start producing bombers send them on bombing airbases and aircraft production facilities.  Night or High attitude bombing. In small groups, to make detection  and interception harder and to distrub enemy production more ( In fact constant air raid alarms distrub production noticeably even if bombs fail to hit)
