Spoiler: Assault Rifle (click to show/hide)
Is the Assault Rifle the proposal 2 from last turn? If so, it's probably rather a semi-auto (Infantry Rifle) than an assault rifle, as it lacks the full auto setting. I hope so, at least. I propose we call it the Revolutionary Rifle.

Spoiler: Valyize (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Possible traits (click to show/hide)
There are two ways we can go with it: Choosing Cheap, Reliable and Lightweight and giving each of our soldiers one, or Easily Disassembled, Inconspicuous and Reliable to supply it to partisans. I'll probably go with the first one, but not sure yet.

Question concerning the Build Points: I'm from that assuming that the Mosin-Nagant costs double the Valiyze pistol? If so, can you include the costs on the design summaries? I think that would be quite helpful to compare the designs with one another.

Now, for designs... we most definitely need some machine gun, as none has been designed. This machine gun needs to be man-portable and useful for anti-personnel design. I believe that 15mm would be too big for that. So I'm going to do that again:
4 (small): I propose building an air-cooled, man-portable (light) and belt-fed machine gun, using the 8x54mm bullet and with an integrated bipod.
Counterproposal 1.1: Design the 120mm gun anew, not using the existing 120mm as a basis.
I believe we can probably get better designs by not modifying the old ones.
5 (medium?): Begin modifying the truck's engine. Reliability and fuel efficiency come to mind.
This is to design an efficient engine we can use for years to come, for example in trucks, armoured cars and halftracks. It will be too heavy for planes (except bombers, maybe) and too less power for tanks, but it will be a good start.
One question and one proposal for the game itself:
- Should we include the votes of the one creating a proposal in the list?
- I propose we give each project a unique and automatic name. This will be constructed as such: "Project YYXX", where YY is the year it's first proposed and XX the number of the proposal. For example, the pistol will be called "Project 2011", or, as it has a name, Valyize. This will make referring to it easier. Thoughts on that?

Also,
C: Build academy for engineers.
D: Switch production to the semi-auto rifle.
Even with their lack of reliability and higher cost, they will allow something like four times the sustained rate of fire - which is something I value higher.
And, voting for 4, A, Gamma

Also, redesignating proposal 3 to proposal 4. Please edit your post to reflect that to avoid confusion.

Proposals:
7. Work on developing body armour for our soldiers that is better than a woollen coat. At least some protection against shrapnel. (small?)
8. Design high-powered, lightweight, binoculars for use by artillery observers and officers. (small) .

10. A LMG chambered for the 8x54mm bullet featuring a tubular mag, collapsible stock and blowback operation. The length in all should be no more than 1.5m and should be designed to be easily mounted on a tripod or a mount.

11. A small, six wheeled APC capable of holding a crew of two (one before driving and one behind in an open turret) along with eight troops on side mounted open bench seats. The seats should be recessed slightly, and have some form of bar arrangement that can fold down for the troops. Efforts should be made to make this as fast and as stable as possible while still remaining small (no more than 4 meters high (not counting turret) and no more than 9 meters long. Also no more than 3.5 meters wide.

E. a rocket chest chamber for rockets up to 100 pounds of thrust.

12 is almost identical to 10... Only it is listed as water cooled. That seems to be it...

12 is almost identical to 10... Only it is listed as water cooled. That seems to be it...
In fact, we have three different LMG proposals, none as counterproposal or modification:
4 (small): air-cooled, man-portable (light) and belt-fed machine gun, using the 8x54mm bullet and with an integrated bipod.
10. A LMG chambered for the 8x54mm bullet featuring a tubular mag, collapsible stock and blowback operation. The length in all should be no more than 1.5m and should be designed to be easily mounted on a tripod or a mount.
12.(medium) water cooled belt-fed lmg with a high rate of fire that uses the 8x54 round

Their only differences seem to be belt-fed and air-cooled vs tubular magazine and collapsible stock vs belt-fed and water-cooled...

Adding a vote for B, and adding ICBM's votes to the tally.
And, since we lack a large project, I'll add a vote for 3.

I see nothing bad if our large team will work on 120mm gun and I am removing my vote for 3 (in fact I never voted for it, only proposed)

Also, I vote for for  4,5  and C

what I meant when I said high rate of fire was a little bit higher than it can handle without good airflow so I guess I should have put water and air cooled if that is possible.

We could always make it to find its rate of fire will not require water cooling. Thats what happened with the lewis gun.
