Right so we build a truck that has 1200 hp and is powered by a 30 litre engine.
Im not sure that we have a need for that much power in a truck.
Our Improved Aviation Engine is very close to a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp having the same number and layout of cylinders, power out put and the same cooling.

Hey, I remember that page.

On a side note, the engine is air-cooled, which means that it's less suited for non aerial uses.

Spoiler: Voted proposals (click to show/hide)

The Cod's diesel engine project suffers multiple delays, setbacks and other troubles. Prototypes of the engines have tendency to ignite spontaneously, and experience sudden failures. The engineers do note that standard Diesel engines could be installed without much troubles.

Unnamed Cod Attack Variant

A variant of the cod is designed, with a more aggressive role in mind. The amount of torpedoes and torpedo tubes has been increased, and both Electric and Conventional systems have been updated. Despite the failure of the Diesel fuel project, Diesel power has been installed, providing the ship with almost 1000 Kw propulsion. Low diving depth still remains a problem, as well as armor strength. Despite that, an 80 mm turreted cannon has been installed, intended to hunt down lone enemy cargo ships.

Cod attack Submarine  (Build time: 4 months)
Displacement:   341 metric tons  surface
                        430 metric tons submerged
Length:   45.42 m (149 ft 0 in)
Beam:   5.5 m (18 ft 1 in)
Draught:   3.05 m (10 ft 0 in)
Max depth: 30 meters
Propulsion:
          - 1000 Kw Diesel Propulsion   (22 km/hour)
          - 900 KW Electric Propulsion    (10 km/hour submerged)
Complement:   4 officers, 36 men
Submerged Duration: 6 hours
Sensors and processing systems:   2 periscopes, Attack periscope , Hydrophone System
Armament: -  6 torpedo tubes with 12 torpedoes (4 fore, 2 aft)
                 -  1 80 mm Cannon
Other Armament: Two MGs sealed in waterproof boxes on deck, Pistols for the officers.
Armor: Inter Hull batteries
Traits: Submarine Snorkel, Hydrophone System
Flaws: Increased Sonar signature

Tonnage allocation
- 50 ton Diesel Propulsion
- 15 tons electrical Propulsion
- 120 ton batteries  (Approx 10 hours charge. Takes almost 2 days to recharge)
- 7 ton Periscope System
- 24 ton Torpedos
- 18 ton Torpedo Tubes
- 25 ton 80mm cannon
- 60 ton Sub parts
- 2 ton Misc Armament

Raven Torpedo Bomber

The modification of the Raven torpedo bomber happens without much trouble. Some speed and maneuverability is lost due to increased wingspan and load, but overall this design is fairly stable, which is spectacular for the amount by which the weight has increased.

Raven Class Torpedo Bomber
Crew: 1
Length: 7m
Wingspan: 9.75 m
Height: 2.75 m
Empty weight: 1350 kg
Gross weight: 1600 kg
Armor: Light metal plating
Powerplant: 1 × 200 kw Petrol engine
Weaponry: 1*Airborne Torpedo
Stall speed: 70 km/h   (60km/h empty)
Maximum speed: 180 km/h   (220 km/h empty)
Service ceiling: 6,000 m
Rate of climb: 2.52 m/s
Cost: 6 (Frame:6 )
Traits: Easily maneuverable, Resilient, Aerodynamic

Improved 40 mm cannon

At the same time, a few small improvements are made to the 40 mm cannon. Fire rate is increased, and the open hopper is replaced by a spring based system. These improvements have no effect on cost, and have been integrated immediately

Light cannon
The 40mm auto-cannon has a rate of fire of approximately 90 rounds per minute. It is fed by spring fed box capable of holding up to 30 rounds at a time.  It is typically crewed by 2 or 3 men. This is a low velocity gun with little armor penetration.
Weight: 2000 kg (5000 kg including turrets, armor and ammunition)
Construction cost: 5

Osprey Dive Bomber

The Osprey Dive bomber is a heavily reinforced all metal monowing plane, in order to whistand the G-force generated during it's attack dives. It's a design that's significantly heavier than our previous designs, and also carries a far larger payload. It still has the same armament as our previous plane, and about the same armor too. It's range is slightly larger than the Raven. The team, assisted by our aeronautical experts, managed to insert quite a few interesting things.

Crew: 2
Length: 11m
Wingspan: 13 m
Height: 4 m
Empty weight: 2900 kg
Max Take-off weight: 4800  kg
Armor: Light metal plating
Powerplant: 1 × 900 kw Petrol engine
Weaponry:
       -2* 15 mm Machine gun
       -2*Airborne Torpedo / 1000 kg of ordinance
Stall speed: 90 km/h
Maximum speed: 240 km/h   (220 km/h empty)
Service ceiling: 7,000 m
Rate of climb: 5 m/s
Cost: 14 (+ 6 Machine gun cost)
Spoiler: Pick 3 (click to show/hide)

The Piranah Class patrol boat is a modified version of the Shark class. Little chances have been made except for removing the Main gun to make place for additional fuel reserves and hull reinforcements. It should survive a trip to Crow's Isle.

Piranah Class Patrol Boat
Patrol boat (Production time: 2 month)
Length: 20m
Displacement: 50 metric tons
Propulsion: 1200 Kw
Speed: 62 km/h
Armor: Thin armor (Small Caliber gunfire)
Crew: 10
Armament:
- Mounts two torpedo tubes with two reloads each (6t + 12t)
- 4 15 mm Machine guns
Note: Unreliable (Engines break fairly often)

Tonnage Allocations:
15 ton Boat parts
10 tons Gasoline propulsion
5 ton Machine guns
6 tons of torpedo systems
12 tons of torpedo
2 tons of armor

The machine gun complex is expanded, in order to solve the recent shortage of weapons. This improvement almost doubles our current production, at the same time, the artillery factory is expanded and repriorized. Focus is shifted from large artillery pieces to the smaller 40 mm ones. At the same time, the dockyards are expanded (Apparently, this wasn't suggested. Did it anyway) and partly retasked.

Even more effort goes into the expansion of the Crow construction installation, which almost doubles it's production capacity. New installations are finished and installed, and our nations aeronautical production has never been so high as now.

Spoiler: Supply Status (click to show/hide)

With supply situation on Crow's Isle quickly becoming more problematic, the decision is taken to utilize the Cod submarines for supply runs. The first cod departs on 19 April , 1926, and arrives on the early morning, of the 21st of April, carrying a vital supply of food, ammunition, as well as letters and postal cards. Upon his return, the captain is awarded with several honours for his accomplishments in resupplying Crow's Isle, and no less important, bringing back a hold full of gold. In the following months, supply trips intensify, freeing up space for moving even heavy material like artillery pieces to the Island. The garrison is equipped with our most advanced weaponry, and strategically reinforced when needed.

In the air, our Raven fighters fought bitterly to deter the enemy fighters. Despite a numerical advantage, the enemy raids are unsuccessful, and carry a great cost in live and equipment. Eventually, they retreat, leaving us victorious, but at great cost. Beneath, the artillery bombardment continues, with again no sides making any advancements. With the drawn  out war becoming increasingly unpopular in Moldavia, they decide to commence an assault.

In the morning of 17 October, the enemy assault finally occurs. During the early night, the entire Moldavian fighter force attacks, pushing back our planes, and despite heavy losses, establish air superiority. Shielded by the early morning fog, the assault advances on the Eastern Coast. Again, artillery duels between our forces and their occur, this time with more results. 4 out of our ten cannons are destroyed, but in exchange an enemy Cruiser is sunk, and 2 others are damaged. Our minefield, despite having been thinned out in the previous years, still provide dangerous, claiming numerous ships.

In total, 7000 enemy Soldiers land on our island, aided by a small number of vehicles. The garnisson, almost completely equipped with Revolutionary Rifles, open fire. The enemy tankettes don't prove strong enough to survive our 15mm machine guns, and are quickly eliminated. However, with all our artillery cannons on this side of the island eliminated, the enemy cruisers soon join into the fray. The fortress takes heavy fire, and our troops are forced to retreat. The enemy advances and quickly gains ground, despite heavy losses. But when the battle almost seemed lost, an unlikely hero appears.

Coming in from the mainland, and operating against it's strict orders, Cod-1 sneaked upon the enemy cruisers, allowing it fire all four of it's torpedoes. Three torpedoes manage to hit the enemy flagship, which is subsequently destroyed by internal secondary explosions.  Cod-4 and Cod-6, which were both waiting out the battle nearby, also join into the fray. While their torpedo's don't manage to destroy another Cruiser, they do manage to damage the remaining ones. Our troops, motivated by seeing the enemy flagship blown sky high, start to push back the enemy, repelling them from the island.

In the following month's, the enemy increased their blockade, and started to attack our merchants with increasing frequency. Additionally, 2 Cod submarines are intercepted and sunk, forcing us to decrease resupply missions to Crow's Isle.

Losses
+- 2000 soldiers Killed
221 Ravens
4 160 mm artillery
16 Piranah's
50 sharks
2 Cod submarines
46 Merchant ships

Gains
+- 6000 soldiers killed , 1000 captured
451 enemy fighters destroyed
1 enemy 5000 ton cruiser sunk
1 Enemy 4000 ton cruiser sunk.
1 Enemy 2000 ton commerce raider
15 enemy 1000 ton Destroyer Support ships
56 Torpedo boat Destroyers

1. Reverse engineer enemy tankette, but try to use stronger engine, our machine-guns and heavier armor

2. design new 10mm machinegun optimized for aircraft use, both for fighters and for turrets of bombers

3. Design monowing, twin engined fighter Viper armed with either two 15mms and 6 new 10mms, or 4 15mms. Prioritize speed over maneuverability

A : Another 2400 point aircraft facility devote 3/4 to Osprey 1/4 to Raven T variant.

B : Continue increasing all constructions facilities except the truck facility.

Alpha : Focus airforce on defensive operations only until the first squadrons of bombers are prepared then begin offensive actions, launch combined air and naval attacks having Ravens provide air cover for bombers and torpedo bombers. While the enemy is moving to counter the air assault have COD's perform ambushes on enemy cruisers acting in groups of 3 coming from multiple angles. Submarines fire torpedo's then immediately retreat.

4. "Hunter" destroyer

Total tonnage: up to 1000t
Tonnage Allocations:
300 tons propulsion (whatever our designers will choose)
150 tons: Armor
75 tons: three 80mm guns
30 tons: (6 40mm guns on sides )
20 tons: AA\anti torpedo machineguns
100 tons: Mines\depth charges
X tons: sonar if designed
Rest: Destroyer parts\more propulsion to ensure manuevrability speed and range
Desired trait:  maneuverable

Ship designed to
a) Hunt huge fleet of enemy torpedo destroyers and possible submariners.
b) Escort Protectors against subs\torpedo boats
c) Commerce raiding
d) Scouting
e) Mining

Having no heavy guns and no torpedoes this ship is not designed to fight with large enemy worships, but being maneuverable it can dodge torpedoes well, thus suitable to fight against enemy torpedo boats and subs, in the same time it has good enough armor to not be afraid of enemy artillery with caliber under 80mm and strafes from enemy aircrafts

5. Design sonar
We saw effectiveness of our subs and can expect that enemy will try to gain their own

Someone give everyone on Cod-1 all the metals.

Beta: Construct four more Cods, crewed mainly from the crews of existing ones. And give the existing crews a metal, and some nice meals.

I am gonna go dredge up another sub design now.

Design 6 - lightweight version of the 160mm cannon
Unless i'm mistaken, the current model weighs 25 tons, which becomes 125 if you add ammo and turret.
A lightweight, more refined version using less material could be better if we have poor supply; in addition they would be more mobile. Ships could carry a greater number of them, and eventually we might install one on a tank-destroyer chassis, or similar (much like a real life SU-152)

3.1(c): Instead, it should be designed to the same philosophy as the Raven. Use a single engine, a pair of 15mms, integrated radio, and focus on dogfighting. It should also have light bombing capacity/provisions, but in general should not distract from its dogfighting credentials. Range should be similar or more than the Osprey.

The next design will probably be a long-range bomber.

Alpha.1: Use protectors, torpedo bombers and boats to fight against their commercial raiding and targets of opportunity. Once a large number of torpedo bombers is finished, do one (two maximum) assault on the enemy harbours, bombing the ships and infrastructure. Then return to commercial protection and targets of opportunity.
A less-aggressive plan compared to Alpha.

Proposal 2.1: instead of developing a new 10mm machine gun, take the old 15mm and improve it, concentrating on cheap production and less weight.

Proposal 7: Radar. Come on, guys! :P
