This is totally and utterly random, and yet it is on par with most mythologies about logic. This is both hilarious and very interesting, ethnologically speaking.

So far we have the Most Fluffy Rodent coming out of nowhere and creating land, sea and stars from bodily functions. Then the Fleas come and from the molt of one of them is born the First God Xarokan, who proceed into turning fleas into rice grains and wove them into the World Basket. From the darkness around the World Basket come horrible beings. And from the woven fleas which drank the Most Fluffy Rodent's blood and were then turned into rice grains, come other, less fluffy rodents. These rodents, lacking sustenance, turn to cannibalism. From this horror emerge the first demon, Selekel the false fur.
Well done people...

And the first god Xarokan grew hungry and, seeing that there was nothing satisfying to eat anywhere in the vicinity of the Great Rodent, dove down into the infinite seas, and, after eleven days, he returned to the surface with great bounties of seafood. He placed these bounties into the world basket, which included, among other things, an oyster bearing a pearl quite large and completely flawless.

And lo, Selekel the False Fur coveted the pearl, for it was shiny and round and shiny.
And the Horrible Beings from beyond the World Basket coveted it too.
So the Horrible Beings bowed to Selekel the False Fur, for he was divine fluffy in essence.
And together they attacked the World Basket to conquer food and shiny things.

But the infinite seas never rest. And their bounties they guard with their lives.  And it grew discontent. Annoyed.

Furious.

And so from the seas, from it's desire to protect its gifts from those who would abuse it, it formed.

Melphari, the Wrathful Ocean. A living ocean. It guarded everything within it; fish, molluscs, everything.

Melphari let those who used it peacefully be in peace, but the Wrathful Ocean watched those who dared abuse it with suspicion.

Yes.

We now have a sentient ocean.

Seeing that his sustenance from the sea was under threat from Selekel and his like, Xarokan prepared for battle by fashioning a humongous spear called Tartunk from an incisor pulled from the Great Rodent's mouth, and tracked down one of the few giant fleas he did use in making the world basket, a being called Gillyip, to use as a mount.

The Great Fluffyness looked upon the world, and saw the new life and sapience. The Great Fluffyness looked upon the world, and saw the hunger and chaos. The Great Fluffyness looked upon the world, and saw the wars and madness.
The Great Fluffyness scratched itself behind the ears, and... "produced" new planets. Don't ask how. Soil, you know.

Meanwhile, Xarokan realize that, kitted up though he was, his might alone would not be enough to stop the onslaught of Selekel the False Fur and the Horrible Beings. And so he did petition the less fluffy rodents to join him in defense of his catch, promising them a share of said catch as a reward.

And the surviving Less Fluffy Rodents saw the food promised by Xarokan, and they saw his great spear Tartunk, and his mount Gillyip.
And so they joined him, for the food smelled good and they were hungry. They abandoned their old ways and regained a bit of their Fluffyness, becoming more powerful (which might have to do with being well-fed).
But others had tasted the blood of their brethren, and they liked it. They were very few, but some joined with Selekel, as they were like him, though less powerful. Xarokan named them Daemons, the fallen.

(someone said Selekel was the first demon, so here are the others. They are negligible in numbers before the ones which joined Xarokan, just enough so that the forces are somewhat balanced. Epic battle(s) go!)

Among all this a cluster of bamboo fronds grew in the center of the World Basket. Out crawled a limbed anaconda, and it was confused, and it's confusion made it grow to massive lengths.

Melphari watched the insanity. He saw Xarokan, and Selekel, and their hosts.

It knew it could not truly currently intervene, not without churning the entire ocean upwards into the basket and murdering those who were not at war. So it decided.

From itself, it formed a living being, made of the churning waters. A living Maelstrom. It then sent the Maelstrom as an envoy to the World Basket, to see who and how it could intervene.

Since both sides of the conflict could see that they were roughly evenly matched, they both beseeched the limbed anaconda to join them, mostly by offering to let it eat the members of the opposing army.

And they saw the living Maelstrom on the horizon and were apprehensive.

And so the anaconda, upon hearing this offer, grew only more confused.

"Why? What is hunger? What is the point? What am I? Who are you? Why fight?"

And so did the beast grow yet larger with every confusing thought. Soon, the serpent grew beyond the size of the Basket and soon it circled the World. Thus did the World Serpent come to be. To this day, it remains confused and grows yet larger.

So, there's a world, within a world, which has a ring system, that people think came from an ever-expanding snake with legs...WHERE IS IT AND HOW CAN I GET THERE!
