Go deeper into the cave, locating a nice, warm spot for the dragon egg to go. If it is inhabited, remove the inhabitants. Once the spot is uninhabited, place egg there and watch.

Offer to interpret for them. If accepted, perform peaceful negotiations aimed at reaching a suitable compromise. If met with ambivalence, just look for some fauna around the area.
