Also, I suppose a failing roll on the turn would have been the same regardless, but I intended to use my chars laptop+research check if we didn't have any sort of magical library available...

Not particularly. Between the missions available, #2 seems out of our league, #4 seems sorta morally ambiguous and #5 would definitely be fun, but would require spells that don't involve burning people from me. So it's a choice between #1 and #3. And zombies make all the difference.

Humm. Looking back at it, I like the sound of #2 better. But we might get trounced-sounds like at least a tough boss+thugs. The same could be said of every mission, however. There is a good potential for loots...and I just realized #3 requires us to capture them all alive, or close enough. Sounds annoying.

No reason to deadlock, tho...I think I'll change my vote. Again, no real personal stake toward any of the missions. If anyone can put forward an idea why one is better for them then any other, I'll vote for that.

That is actually a very good point. I'd assumed that the necromancers had realized they were in over their heads and would want to come with us. Which... may not actually be the case. Hmm. And a grand each for the gauntlet. Tempting.
